I was eyeballing that jar of Blue Magic Coconut Oil grease at the store the other day...hmmmm my mom used to use it on my scalp/hair. :scratchch

I'm using: :sekret:
1. combs(but they're widetooth)
2. brushes(but they're the soft bristle kind)
3. softee grease :look:

I still got a big ol jar of Blue Magic that I use....

Vitapointe and Kemi Oil...the two things that I just couldn't let go of.....lol

Vitapointe is bad??? Chicorro uses vitapointe... she was the reason I went out and bought 5011 tubes :lachen: during my PJ days (which are far behind me now.... :look:.... sorta... )

Softee is the kind of grease I use too. It works really well for sealing.

I use a wide tooth comb and a big boar bristle brush everyday...brush for my edges. And i use SLS shampoos once a week....of course i follow with a DC when i shampoo tho.

I had to give up EVERYTHING with mineral oil or petrolatum in it...it would falsely moisturize my hair and then hours later...it would be dry as a desert!! No grease for me....i love my oils!!

Vaseline. I've been swimming all winter and over the last few weeks, I've been putting conditioner and vaseline in my hair before I get into the pool. It has been great to my hair. My hair doesn't feel stripped after swimming or after shampooing with my chelating shampoo. I plan to swim for the spring and summer so I plan to continue using vaseline.

I'm not afraid of any product that I use b/c what works for my hair may not work for you. I've bought a few products that people raved on here about and it did not work on my hair.

What kind of softee do you use? I have the coconut oil one in the small jar and the indian hemp. But I'm using the indian hemp right now.

I also use a fine tooth comb on my daughter's natural 4a hair. She gets lint like nobody's business. I've tried lots of things including a real and a fake denman to get it out. Only the fine tooth comb seems to work. I hope I don't get a hair care ticket.

Dax!!!!! I know. but there is still some left in the house when my brother was trying to get waves... It hold my edges and nape down like WHAT!!!!!
Shhhhhh Dont tell Nobody (pop's Voice)

What! I use that on my girls' edges almost DAILY. It gives them the softest silkiest waves...the smell also just takes me back to childhood. I'm not a fan of Blue Magic, but give me some DAX any day of the week! LOL...

Also with all the talk of Denman this and Denman that I didn't think there was anyone on here who DIDN'T use a brush :ohwell:

Yeah, I use the Denman but I'm talking the old fashioned brushes. I tried to go without them but I'm addicted to the feeling of the bristles on my scalp. There.is.nothing.like.it.:lick:

I really don't see how I could go without brushing and combing my hair daily, YES daily - especially after co-washing. Thanks for your "confessions" ladies.

What is so wrong with Kemi Oil (besides the fact that after a day or two my head smells like a locker room - does not agree with me)?

Combs, brushes, oil sheen (as long as I have my relaxed ends, but I'm transitioning so may not use this much after that), mineral oil and petrolatum...

I agree with the bolded. I tried it and I just don't understand it.

I used to love Kemi Oil. Not sure why I stopped using it. I didn't know it was bad for you.

I use brushes combs and Goody rubber bands! I love a slick bun. LOL Prob why I am eternally cursed with CBL hair.

I brush my edges but I don't comb everyday. No need to for me.

I still use my oil sheen and Crisco. I'm not giving either up.

I love me some Black n Sassy products, but they seem to be looked down upon here.

I keeps me a jar of Black n Sassy Oil sheen in a Jar its tha best, minerai oil and all.

What does CBL mean? Forgive me if I'm a little slow...:wacky:

^...collar bone length

My  is the occasional light grease for flat ironing. I plan to start using more grease though. :look: I'm starting to look flirtatiously at that old, old, bottle of pink stuff, too. :perplexed

I've never thrown a product away. I still have alcoholic hot curl spritz in my possession. It's the only thing I can say I definitely won't ever use again. :nono:

Girl, you ain't said nothing but a word. I have two jars of Dax in my bathroom cabinet, and I use a clarifying sulfate shampoo every time I wash my hair.

Blue Magic grease. When it's freezing cold outside I seal my ends with that. Works better in cold weather than oil.
