May sound crazy, but is Knot Today safe to use?

Hi ladies,

So I picked up some Knot Today detangler this weekend as I read great reviews on this product from this board. I'll be 9 months post tomorrow and wanted to try a detangler that will help better detangle my new growth (besides my DC and oils). However I came across a thread and the last poster in the thread mentioned that it contains some ingredient call "Phenoxyethanol" that could be harmful.

I would have assumed it being organic would be better for your hair. Here's the thread:

The article the other poster referred to:

Have you ladies heard about this and what are your thoughts?? TIA!

I use it all the time and frankly it is my favorite leave-in *shrugs shoulders* i'll still keep using it

I've noticed that alot of people automatically assumed that if something is natural it is automatically better for us. This is not always the case. This may be a bad example, but I mean look at poison ivy. It's natural but its bad for you. I read an article somewhere stating that organic may be just as bad or worse than those non organic product because federal corporations have not found a way to regulate these things as yet. Sorry, for the lack of eloquency in this post. For some reason none of the terms, or the article is coming to mind right now. I have to try to find it.
