I go to this Dominican Salon in Houston and before they wash your hair I was asked if I wanted a "Super" which is a green oil that she put all over your hair they massage it in put a plastic cap over your head and than put you under the dryer...they don't speak English so I really don't know what I am getting and the clients who do speak English just say its something like a oil treatment...well I know that much but what's in it? Everybody seems to get it....Does anybody know WTH i'm getting lol..

Idk what "super" is, but which salon do you go to? What side of town is it on and do they do good rollersets? I'm thinking of trying a Dominican salon out.

Thanks and sorry that I didn't know the answer to your question.

I'm not sure, but I'd take it :)

When I went 2 times ago, they asked me if I wanted a treatment, and I said yes and it was some minty tea tree oil they put on my scalp..... oooohh my gosh, it felt so good. My scalp was tingling. mmmmmm........ it was a great feeling.

Ask to smell it next time and if it smells minty, DO IT!!! :) This way you can avoid the broken english conversation.

I have no idea. I've never heard of it but it's probably just some olive oil they throw on there for an extra 5 bucks:grin: I"m glad the Dom. salon in my area speak good english

LOL shoot then I'd be like bring on the "super" :yep: And it's only $5 so why not. But I too would be curious as to what exactly the "super" is.

Some Dominican hairdressers will take a deep conditioner and add a bunch of oils to it and sell it to their clients as a super dc. I've had it done before and I actually do it at home for 100% cheaper. I say get it and see if your hair feels any different.

Get this they have and I'm not kidding you a "Super Super" that they put on all over your scalp right before they add your leave in before they rollerset you...It remind me of those glass vavles tube things that was mention on here I can't think of the name you get them at the BSS for about $2 a piece

OMG!! Not the Super Super :lachen::lachen:I mean seriously lets say they do 25 people's hair a day...and an extra five dollars each is an extra $125. And all for a bottle oil that probably cost $2 that's a come up for them. But I'd probably still get the Super and the Super Super:lachen:

ETA: I'm kinda mad my Dominican Salon don't have a super and super super. They do however offer free deep condition monday-thursdays though.
