How often do you use this? My hair feels and looks so awesome (I also used a new DC tonight) that I'm taking my sweet time putting product in!

Needless to say, I would like this feeling more often, so I want to know how often I can safely use the RPC ...

There is another thread floating around here on the subject. I think some of the ladies are using it once a week with no problems.

Yep there is one, :yep:

I use mine about once a month! I mix it with my Deep Conditioner, or use it afterwards. I love it as well.

I also use it a week before my relaxers as part of my pre-Relaxer treatment. :)

Everytime I wash/co-wash. It closes the cuticles and normalizes the pH - something I need every time I wash. I've been using it about 7 months now with no adverse side effects. In fact, my hair has improved by leaps & bounds since I started my HHJ and Roux PC is a significant part of that success.

Thanks Laidbak! I think this means I should get a shower head attachment for sure.

Just make sure its an actual softener and not just a filter. There is a huge difference. I bought one last month and my products (PC included) are back to acting like they are supposed to.

What confuses me is how to you it.
Do you wash with RPC, then condition with it, then condition? Or are we only talking about using the shampoo w/o the conditioner?

I only use the conditioner. I know some people who say it works best for them if they use it BEFORE they DC. I know some people who mix it into their DCs. But the majority of people I've encountered who use this, myself included, use it as a quick final rinse after DCing. This closes the cuticle and ensures that the hair's pH is where its supposed to be.
