Has anyone used the BIOSILK flat iron by Farouk (the makers of CHI)

I googled this product and it seems like not many people have used this iron. I'm kinda surprised..it's by the makers of CHI, it's cute, it's tourmaline ionic, and has temperature control.

LOL. Okay...I guess not. I went ahead and got it anyway though. I also got the BIOSILK blowdryer. Marshall's had them both for $39.99! I couldn't pass it up.

I have one and I like it. I ended up buying it from TJMAXX after I left my GVP iron at my parent's place. The only thing I didn't like was that super long cord. I hate long cords.

Relaxed and I use it on 325 with heat protectant. I tried using 250 but barely did anything for my hair at that temp. Have you used the blowdryer yet? If so, how do you like it? I didn't know they had a blowdryer.

No, I haven't used it yet. I just got it home. I took it out of the box and looked at it though...it looks professional and of very good quality (if that counts for anything).

I have this. I love it! I can't compare it to a Chi or anything because it is technically my 1st "higher end" flat iron. It does me well. I use the setting between 300 and 360 and do a max of 2 passes. My step daughter uses it too and her hair is super glossy and nice.

Hey OP, I own this flat iron and I really like it a lot. I've had it for over year and it works great. It's the only flat iron I own. My favorite thing is the temperature dial. I flat iron my hair on a very low setting - between 230 and 280 and it still gets silky straight (I'm relaxed).

I ended up buying this one at Trade Secret after returning an FHI with not temp dial that nearly burnt my hair up.

I had the blowdryer, but I returned it to Folica. I found the heat to be a little unpredictable and I needed it to get hotter for my blowouts. Let us know how you like the blowdryer!!!!

BTW, $39.99 is a great price. I paid twice that. I think they might discontinue these because the Biosilk brand isn't doing that well. I think people don't realize that it's the same maker as CHI and FHI products. I didn't know that until the lady at Trade Secret told me.

I have the blue one... I like it it works well for my hair and I am 7 months post relaxer with 4 a/b mix hair.
