Is it only me or is S Curl the bomb???!!!!

I just bought some Care Free Curl, and I'm liking it. It has NO smell. The SCurl stuff kinda stinks to me.

So it's just a moisturizer?? I'm going to have to try it ^^ do you all that use it have natural hair??

Scurl IMO is great for those live in areas with humidity. I live in Nevada where all the heat is DRY so it just makes my hair sticky bc it coats the strands. When I went to Mexico however it was my bestfriend.

:yep: thats because the glycerin and propylene glycol in it are humectants. They draw moisture from their surroundings. during summer/ high humidity its all good because they draw moisture from the air. When its cold/low humidity they tend to draw moisture from the hair itself. Making your hair feel dry.

I remember seeing this explanation somewhere before and while I read it, I really didn't "understood" it.

Thanks for the explanation! I really do have a better understanding now.

Guess I'll be back to my beloved S-Curl when the summer rolls back around.

Thanks again!

BB

Yeah, it's the bomb! I've been using it for years (from my bone straight relaxer days to natural, to texlaxed, to transitioning, etc). It always works, and I live in an area with high humidity, even sometimes in winter. I still use it every few days to moisturize my hair. I add a little EVOO and a tiny bit of extra water to the bottle to make it coat my hair better and not come out so thick in spray form. I spray it on, smooth it in, and seal. Good to go.

I plan on trying either s curl or care free when the summer get here too. I tried Hawaiin silk 14 n 1, I wasn't really impressed. My dry strands call for more moisture.

Its actually not that pronounced, I think its a pleasant, light, fragrance, I don't know, to each His own! but its worth it!

Yeah, I like the scent, it's light and fresh. I smelled some when I was in the BSS but I didn't purchase.

I think I'll try it when I run out of my other moisturizers.

I have been using S-Curl for several months now. Sometimes I mix it with my leave-in and it really leaves my hair soft and manageable. I am out of it and need to purchase some more right now. Adding it to my already long list...

Please don't tell anyone I was in this thread but OP you're right: S Curl is DA BOMB of all BOMBS. I just don't want people knowing I was here coz some have started calling me S Curl or wondering if I work for the company. :look: For the record, I don't; and for the record, I do know other words besides S Curl. :giggle:

I tried it and all it did was make my hair feel greasy. I have been using Aubrey Organics Sea Buckthorn Leave-in Curl Activator; the smell or the price isn't the greatest, but it does the job for me.
