Please clarify these two things for me.

1) Since I'm wiggin it, does my hair need to be in a bun under the wig or are my ends protected?

2) When you ask a stylist to cut your split ends, if they see any, they cut all your hair even :perplexed why is that?

TIA

1) i dont wig but i believe if you're in a bun or in braids, you're good to go

2) they dont teach search and destroy in beauty school

1. I'm no help.

2. It would take too long and it's probably more justified to charge for a trim than to search and destroy.

Not at all. The bun would make your wig look lumpy anyway. Just moisturize and cover with some type of cap.

Because they are scissor happy. :yep:
Just be extra careful if you go to a stylist for a trim.....be very specific and watch exactly how much they're cutting with a handheld mirror.

1. I am angry at wigs right now so I can't give an unbiased answer. I recently lost some of my edges b/c of it; it caused more harm than good for me.

2. Many people attribute uneven hair to split ends. So they even it up, hence leading to a "hair cut" rather than a trim. It usually takes a "hair cut" to get ALL of the hair even. I don't believe there is a correlation between split ends and uneven hair; but the that seems to be the popular opinion.

Hey! I was going to wig it until April too! I went 3 weeks-- not even a month of wigging and my edges are now gone! I was growing better by just leaving my hair out. I can't do traditional protective styes b/c my hair cannot take the stress of buns (pony tails in the same spot) or clipping/bobby pinning. Plus it looks much better out. Apparently my hairline can't take the wig stress either, I never noticed this as a problem before!
