Ladies:

What's in your spray bottle(s)?

For what do you use the spray bottle(s)?

What tips can you share for keeping your mixture fresh?

Thanks in advance for sharing! :yep:

I'll start-

What's in your spray bottle(s)? 1 has lacio lacio & water (for rollersets & some braidouts. Another one has water & my favorite moisturizing conditioners (basically, I take the leftover conditioner that I can't get out that's at the end of a bottle, put a little hot water in the bottle, swish it around until it all becomes liquid & put that into a spray bottle for bunning and spritzing.

For what do you use the spray bottle(s)? rollersets, braidouts, twistouts, bunning

What tips can you share for keeping your mixture fresh? I am actually interested in keeping that mildew smell away, so any tips are appreciated. :D

I have water, GVP Cond. Balm, and EVOO in my spray bottle. I use it for twistouts/braidouts and rollersets.

ETA: I don't have a prob keeping it fresh cause I make it in small batches and once I've used it up I make another small batch.

I am in braid extensions and I have a little Giovanni Direct which I didn't like too much and Africa's best liquid mayonaise which i didn't like to much either, so I put 1/4 giovanni direct and 1/4 africas best liquid leave in mayo and 1/2 water and it is a great moisturizer my hair is very soft. Who knew mixing two products i don't really like to much for the sake of using them would create such a great moisturizer!

Coconut Oil, Aphogee Vitamin Leave In, and Aphogee Green Tea/Keratin. I mainly spray it on my daughter's hair at night when I moisturize her hair before bed. (this is new for me, not sure how it's helping)

Mine has a blob of Knot Today, and blob of aloe vera gel, and I fill the bottom of my container with my Suave Naturals Strawberry conditioner. The rest is filtered water. I wet my hair with this mix in 4 sections every morning, lightly detangle, and then bun my hair. It is my way of having a smooth wet bun every morning, without having to immerse my head in the shower every day. It also helps the comb glide through my hair and I'm 72 weeks post.

I have just water in one which I use for my KCC! In the other I have Suave Almond and Shea butter conditioner, water, and shea butter which I use for a moisturizer!

Infusium 23, wheatgerm oil, glycerin, and water. oh yeah, I use it for my braids, and I add a vit e oil.,or nothing, my bottle is really small, 6oz.

Lacio Lacio, Rusk Sensories Smoother, Grapeseed Oil, Skala Leave In, FOTE Aloe Vera Juice, and bottled water.

water, glycerin and AVG in one for my 2x a day daily moisturizer
and one with vatika & amla oil with water for a freshening spritz after my w/o and runs

I have a mix of Aloe vera juice, suave naturals coconut conditioner, EVOO, Rosemary oil, peppermint oil, and tea tree oil to help keep it fresh (it has anti microbial n anti bacterial benefits). My next bottle I'll be adding Aphogee Keratin green tea.

I'm in kinky twists now so that's what Im mainly using it for.

2 pumps of Garnier Fructis Leave-In, 2 capfuls of olive oil, and the rest is water.
I use it as a detangling spray when I comb my hair each morning/after washing my hair.

Water, glycerine, coconut oil, and black rose oil. I use it for braidouts, buns, pin curls, and rollersets. I have decided to transition so I guess I'll be using it a lot more.

Ladies, can I bump this for the 2012? I posted the other day about how I finally found a homemade spritz that works for me and I lied!! That ish made my hair feel weird the 2nd time I used it. I need some recs, please. Something consistent would be nice!

I tried: water, glycerin, grapeseed oil, and AO Honeysuckle Rose...worked the first time, but not the 2nd. My hair seems to hate conditioner, oil...and it has a love/hate relationship with glycerin.

What's in your spray bottle(s)? 1) ASIAN Leave In, TW Mist Bodifier(trying to use up), Distilled Water 2)Disilled Water EOs tea tree, lemongrass, and peppermint 3)Distilled Water, Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Lechithin

For what do you use the spray bottle(s)? 1 and 3)Spray my spring twist extensions 2)Refresh my scalp

What tips can you share for keeping your mixture fresh? I make really small batches when I don't want to add a preservative. The batches are so small that I have to remake every week:)

Several Spray Bottles:

1 - Neutral Protein Filler *Spritz on relaxed hair prior to Relaxing*
1 - Olive Drench with Oatstraw, Horsetail & Nettle
1 - Shi Naturals black Tea Rinse
1 - Enso Naturals Sweet Agave Nectar
1 - Claudie Tea Rinse

What's in your spray bottle(s)? leave-in conditioner and water

For what do you use the spray bottle(s)? daily moisturizing of my hair/scalp

What tips can you share for keeping your mixture fresh? I use a 2 oz bottle, so I usually only have the mixture for a week before I have to make up a new batch. If the spray bottle needs to be washed I just rotate it with another 2 oz bottle.

In one, grapeseed oil and tap water. This is my go-to spritz.
In the other, Aphogee pro vitamin leave in, SAA, and Panthenol powders.

when you guys mix oil in with your spray doesn't it just sit on top?

and i only have glycerine + water in mine :)
thinking of incorporating some aloe vera into it,

Yes. That's why you shake it up before you spritz.

aloe vera juice .... it stays in the fridge

This is why I don't add AVJ to my mixture. I have one with just plain water as a refresher and another with vegetablr glycerin and rose water but I'll be adding my HE touhably smooth leave-in and safflower oil to it today, alone it's not moisturizing enough.

Current Braid mix:Water, grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, chi keratin mist, alberto balsam go fresh conditioner, a bit of ORS replenishing conditioner.

I want to simplify this mix, so for the next batch i may look into removing one of the conditioners and one of the oils.

1/2 cup of Distilled water
10 ml of AVJ
a glob of AOHSR

Shake together and spritz as my watery moisturizer before appliying any creamy moisturizer when I bun.

This mix lasts for 7 days and I use it twice daily.
