What do you do if everything you used to do worked, but now for some reason it doesn't work? I don't get it. I've kept the same reggie for forever and now all of a sudden my hair's giving me issues. It's been like this for a over a month now. I usually use Giovanni TTTT shampoo along with Giovanni Smooth as Silk conditioner, then I'll either deep condition with AOHSR or AOWC, and my hair was fine with that. I didn't even need a leave-in conditioner or daily moisturizer. I'd just use the AOHSR and everything was fine and dandy. Now my hair has turned into this frizzy that dries out quickly. I'm wondering if it's a stress/externally related issue or what. IDK, maybe I need to chelate or something. I'm thinking about switching up my entire routine. Any product recommendations? I like to stay more toward the organic side because fragrances in mainstream lines have a tendency of making me nauseous. And my hair has been feeling very greasy lately for some reason. Still feels soft though, so I guess that's a plus, but it gets off balance easily. If I use a leave-in that has protein it feels brittle, but if i use one without it feels mushy :(. I need advice or an upgrade or something :nono:.

Sorry to hear about that! Giovanni recently changed their product formulations...the new ingredients are extracts rather than oils.

The new Smooth as Silk formula doesn't do anything for me...

Other culprits might be buildup or an unusually cold or dry winter where you are, or heat/indoor air that is too hot/dry.

Good luck with this!

maybe gpb to get yourself balanced? It's not really a protein conditioner, it's just balanced, it's actually really moisturizing too...

Thanks so much for all of your responses. To answer the clarifying question, I haven't used a clarifying shampoo in years, but it's been a couple of months since I've clarified with lemon juice or acv, so perhaps I should try that. I've been kind of lazy with my hair lately . I will have to try that GPB conditioner. It's been a while since I've used it. I agree that the protein in it is not strong, so it shouldn't bother my hair too much. On another note, I went to CVS today and bought this new conditioner by Garnier Fructis. Yeah, I know, it's not organic, but I checked out the ingredients and it seemed pretty good, and it appears to be -cone free :yay:. And it doesn't smell too offensive or perfumy, which is a plus. But I haven't tried it yet. If I like it it will most likely be my new rinse-out/co-washing conditioner. I'll keep you ladies posted. In the mean time, I've got some DC'ing and clarifying to do.
