MY HIGHLIGHTS FROM AVEDA (PIC HEAVY)

Hey Ladies! I went to the Aveda Salon today and got some highlights (my treat to myself after I made APL!). I'm very happy with the results and wanted to share. If ya'll are considering doing some color, I highly recommend the Aveda Salon. Enjoy.......

Cute! I've been going to an Aveda salon for years and that's the only place I let color my hair (unless I color it myself).

Thanks, Girlie for the compliment. I don't know the specific color. I actually went into the salon asking for this color....>>>>>

.....but since I still have black semi-permanent color on the last 1/3 of my hair, she suggested I wait a while so I don't use bleach. I told her I didn't want ANY red/reddish undertones, so she suggested a golden color.

I'm still getting the color (above), but I have to wait about 6 months or so....

I LOVE it! It's so pretty! I wish I could get some highlights but I always color my hair jet black I've heard really good things about Aveda. Did they use bleach? I'm scurred of that.

Is your routine going to change now that you have the highlights?

Hey Proto! Thanks for the compliment. My routine will pretty much stay the same unless my hair starts to tell me otherwise. Depending on the feel of my hair, I might need to up my protein... but knowing my hair, I'm sure I'll just have to up my moisture level.

I plan on:

• Limiting direct heat (rollersets only, If I must straighten my hair)
• Bun/Protective style (at least) 3/4 days out of the week
• Deep Condition (on dry hair) twice a week
• Hardcore Protein every 6 weeks
• Air Dry (when not rollersetting)
• Moisturize/Seal (at least 2x day and/or whenever my hair feels dry.
