If you really layer on conditioner, does that mean your hair is getting more moisturized or are you just starting to waste product at some point? How much do you guys usually put on?

I've never used a porosity control..I'm so scared I'm going to use it wrong, but maybe I should. However, I'm happy to announce that my hair is balanced =) Does that mean I'm putting in enough moisture after all?
Its actually quite simple, I use it, You apply as the very last step, to seal in whatever product You used to DC, it takes about 3 minutes and rinse, or if Your uncomfortable with that, try a ACV Rinse, it does the same thing, it lays the cuticles back down to hold in the moisture, 1 parts ACV, to 3 parts distilled water, chilled, as cold as You can stand it! as last step, and voila' Your done!
So after I rinse out my DC, I put in the porosity control, then rinse that out?
No, more doesn't equal more moisture. It is important to "coat" the hair, ESPECIALLY the ends, but most conditioners and the recommended amounts are for hair that is straight---and straight hair will take less conditioner to coat the strands.
Moisturized hair comes from continued deep conditioning with a good balanced between protein and moisturizers; then sealed with oil or serum.
My hair needs moisture, so I normally put in two squeezes for my whole head and one more squeeze for my ends, but I was looking at the moisture=one heat pass thread and wondered if I wasn't using enough.. hm
Yes Mam! and use as directed, I Myself let sit for a few minutes, about 3, but You should use as directed at least the first Time, which I believe it states about 30 to 40 seconds, not sure, but in any case, it will help if this is Your actual issue, You may also consider a clarifying Poo, that could be a reason why Your hair is not reacting to anything, May be build-up that's blocking moisture.
I was going to ask if you do any DCs, but I see from a previous post that you do . . . are you sealing your hair with oil once you're finished? That will help you retain the moisture . . . also I like to use a leave-in conditioner not only after I wash/co-wash but also every few days . . . it helps my hair have a good balance without being too weighed down.
Good luck!
