Second, it appears that your hair grew 6 or so inches in three years. Is this correct? If so, I'll be a hundred before I get to BSL!

Can't speak for the OP but I will say that is has taken me a long time as well to get to where I am today IMHO. I'm 15 inches from my SL to my WL. I didn't BC or start with a TWA but started between SL and APL. So either my hair kept breaking off (the heat damaged ends) or my hair doesn't grow as fast as I thought it did. I had one wet trim in 2008, dry trim in 2009 and one coming up tomorrow. These trims didn't appear to be 'cuts' either.
