I decided to let you gals see what my natural curls look like now....
I had dyed my hair dark brown a while ago and now the blonde is returning. I continuously bleached my hair and now my curls are suffering...
I want to cover up the unwanted highlights that i have in my hair
Do you reccommend Henna or Hair Rinses?
Does anyone know how I can revive my curls???

This is my hair after a prepoo, wash, condition, leave in, and alittle bit of achohol free gel...Notice how the ends look:ohwell:

Nice hair! I don't think I would recommend henna unless your okay with its texture loosening effects, but since your trying to revive your curls I personally would look for an alternative.

Is your natural color black or blond? im confused

Your hair looks great to me! And in that pic where you talk about the blonde returning I woulda thought those were cute highlights!:yep:

Take it from someone who tried to cover up blonde hair dye for about 6 months that I am not sure there is anything that can cover it. My hair "bleeds" through like yours. Henna/Indigo did nothing but loosen my texture. A demi/semi worked for 2 days. A permanent worked for only a few weeks. I didn't get rid of that color until I cut all my hair off. The only reason why I went with that option is because I wanted a short hair cut anyways. Otherwise I would have just have dealt with it.

Your hair looks nice. I loved the way henna made my hair feel thicker but it didn't work out for me in the long run. It was way too drying.

I would try a rinse or a demi permanent color.

Girl your hair is still beautiful. You're probably the only one noticing anything "wrong." I'd suggest a demi permanent also.

I can see what you're talking about. Maybe the gel is making your ends crunchy? Have you experimented with oils?

Henna would deposit some red in your hair, would you be happy with that? An alternative to henna is cassia.

Beautiful hair!!! Henna works differently for everyone. I henna and I dont get the loosening effect or drying like some. So it just depends if you want the reddish color or you can indigo and go a little darker. Maybe try some light oils for your dryness. Good luck to you

I can see what you are talking about as well but you hair still looks very pretty :yep:.

I have heard that Alma is good for reviving curls. If you are ok with the red that henna will deposit you could try adding some alma to the henna mix. It looks like your natural color is a dark brown. If you visit hennaforhair.com you can find lots of recipes in their forum for henna mixes that will create a brown color instead of red. I think that adding alma and indigo to the henna mix is one of them.

Otherwise you can add alma to a cassia mix. It will not change the color but it may help revive your curls.

It's natural black but I've bleached it for a couple of years, so the color always returns

Thanks ladiess for the confidence boost. Maybe it's just me always seeing something wrong with my own hair....NYMANE & CREAMTEE you are very funny gurl lol!

I wont try henna cause I alreay lost enough of my curl pattern with the bleach, I'll go with a semi permanent rinse...

BlackMasterPiece, :love3:thanks gurl! but I dont think the camera caught the full effect of my hair. My sisters tell me that my hair almost looks greenish, you know??

But seriously I am going crazy maybe lol

Thanks everyone!!!

Maybe you could try an amla treatment. Just mix the amla with some water until it turns into a thick paste and leave it on your hair for about 1-2 hours. I was having very similar issues with my hair and this really helped define my curls and it left my hair super soft.
