trapped by 2 feet of snow, lol ..

Im doing my hair.. gonna try this rollersetting again, lol

I bought one off brand product, going to try the Silk Elements MegaSilk Relaxer ...

WIll be posting pics on and off, lol
 
I think all of us in DMV will be practicing some kind of hair style/dc/technique this weekend.

This reminds me of the snow days we had in Cleveland, OH when I was in school and we would be PRAYING HARD that they would call school off. My mother on the other hand, not so much:nono:
 
I had planned on taking my littlest's braids out and redoing them. When I told her she gave me the side eye. :nono: I wish I had some henna. This would be a good weekend to try that. Oh well, at least I can deep condition everybody.:grin:
 
I plan on double strand twisting DD's hair. Maybe I will try a rollerset again on myself while I'm trapped.
 
So not looking forward to being trapped here in VA. The kids just went back yesterday, have not had enough time to myself ;0(

I am going to work on my DD's hair this weekend, yes she already gave me the side eye, but oh well.
 
Relaxing this weekend. I wanted to take my money to the grocery store, but after driving past and seeing those parking lots, I settled on going to the BBS and ending my 3 month stretch.
 
I too am stuck in the DMV and have just came off my six week press stretch (4 weeks pressed out 2 weeks under the wigs) ... I just washed, proteined and detangled my hair...I am now under the steamer! I am trying a straw set today following the steps of my hair idol - Blackhairmasterpiece ---- post pics and share ideas and regimens ladies!
 
I'm going to let my hair and my youngest daughter's hair marinate in some moisturizing conditioner all day tomorrow and redo her box braids on Sunday.
 
We r getting a nice load in PHilly and I am soooooooo mad I Henna-ed for 2 1/2 yesterday. I deep conditioned w/my coconut milk mixture and blow dried on warm. Now my hair is beautiful and thick. I could have left the Henna in longer tomorrow. I am goiing let my hair relax clean the house, clip coupons and use the computer. I must say this is the first time I have looked forward to snow. I'm chillin....
 
I'm going to do a ponytail roller set and then flat iron.

I'd love to practice twisting my hair, but I'm gonna leave that alone for now (so I can be half way lazy this weekend). :giggle:

Has the storm of the century hit yet? We're thinking of y'all down here in Texas. Though, everytime y'all use "DMV," I picture ya'll being stuck in a long line at the department of motor vehicles trying to get a new driver's license.

I'm not even doing my hair until Sunday - the rest of the weekend will be spend watching moives, cleaning, and drinking - lol.

Looking forward to Sunday though - I got a new flat iron - woo whoo!!! :superbanana:

P.S. I had to re-write this three times since I've already been drinking, lol :drunk:
 
So I managed to get my hair done this weekend.

I relaxed with Silk Elements Shea Butter Relaxer
Used Motions CPR before Neutralizing
Neutralized with Silk Elements Shea Butter Neutralizing Shampoo
I then used a mixture or CPR and Motions Moisture Plus on my hair for around 35 minutes… hair came out silky smooth.

I then let my hair air dry with a bit of Motions serum overnight in a satin cap
Parted my hair, blow dried it (my hair was about 90% dry)
Used my fantabulous Amika flat iron
Used Motions Marula hair strengthening moisturizer

Hair turned out great.

Didn’t feel like rollersetting, lol

Um, I took some scissors to my head too… I have this thing about ends, LOL

Gorgeous!! My rollerset came out horrible but the way the weather seems, I'll get more time to practice tomorrow too lol
 
Yep the snow is here once again this evening! Today is my first day out of the house since last Friday. I have oiled and deep conditioned my hair to death!! Talk about PS...
 
I'm stuck in MD as well. Maybe rollersetting will be my project for tomorrow as well
 
DMV ladies will be experimenting with hair and make-up, and for me, cleaning the dust off my home exercise videos.

*crossing fingers that we won't lose power* :pray::pray:
