I want to say thanks to all of the ladies here who've provided a wealth of information, soo much for when I was relaxed, also for transitioners, for those who've bc and those who've continued to go on to grow their natural hair to great lengths!

I think I've officially grown out of my TWA phase!

When I first BC July/28/09

Today Feb/07/10
A tad over SIX MONTHS difference!

And today Feb/07/10 (5 months later): EXCUSE THE FUZZIES! They're from my hat. >.> That's what I get of not scarfing it before hand. :nono:

I'm really happy how my hair is progressing. I've been natural back in H.S but it was NOTHING like this. I faught my hair, blow dried it every day...and while it did grow, it was never as healthy as this. I plan on braiding it up again in the next few days but I wanted to show progress. Hope it inspires someone who's recently chopped!!

xo

Thanks you guys!! Thank goodness for tracking picture progress because I felt like it didn't grow much AT all.

Wow that's amazing progress, esp for 6 months! And your hair looks great- i love it! REGIMEN PLEASE!

Thank you! I don't do much honestly.
I usually CO wash when I feel like it (usually 3 times a week with trader Joe's condish or suave) wear it up in a cut pantyhose leg secured puff (I've since learned to not do them so tight...when I first BC, I used to literally choke my head circulation off :lachen:) and take a glob off ecostyler gel through it for hold and definition while freshly washed and damp (but not dripping) I'd usually get two day hair from this, I'd wet my palm, brush the front of the puff up, secure and fluff out the top. Wash and repeat.

ALSO, JBCO is awesome!!!

I had it in braids from about December 22nd until February 3rd. So that's about a month and a week give a few days. Then I took it out, clarified and deep conditioned (love alter ego garlic!!) and puffed it up...I will rebraid probably Tuesday and go another month and do a take down/repeat until the warmer months. 8D

So the puffs are really working for you- you're definitely retaining. Are you taking supplements and working out too? lol, i'm just trying to figure out if your hair just naturally grows like wildfire or if its something I can replicate ... last thing (sorry) what's JBCO?

Puffs are great... and also to relieve tension that may come, I sometimes flat twist the front. I've only twisted the back twice because it felt odd since it was and still is so short and weird looking twisted.

I don't take supplements, but I SHOULD. I love biotin, it boosts my growth but I'm horrible with it. :nono: I don't exercise, but I do a bit of contortion training which is just stretching. I doubt that helps. Makes me wonder where I could be if I cared for myself better...:ohwell:

Thank you so much ladies!!! ILuvsmuhgrass I'm so glad I inspired you! It makes me feel really good. ^_^

I am pleasantly surprised at your wonderful progress song of serenity. Your curlies are cute and thick too.

That's great progress! If I hadn't already BC'd, I might be running for the scissors now. :yep: When was your last relaxer?

Girl, Cut it out! That is GREAT for 5 months. That is some fast growth. I was def going to do an update thread tomorrow. Now I feel weird. It's hard not comparing sometimes.

I agree JBCO is the TRUTH! I love this oil and it will be a staple!
