I am finished now. this has been an all morning process. I pre poo'ed with Aphogee 2 min on dry hair (i think it works better for me on dry hair then wet hair), washed with CON, and deep conditioned under my heat cap for 45 min with silicon mix (i was tooo excited about finding in my local bss supply yesterday). its very lush and creamy, my hair felt very soft with it. i detangled with suave and nexxus.
applied direct-leave in and chi keratin mist. I did two strand twists with Shea moisture and nexxus extra gel and a tad bit of miss jessies curly pudding. i am 12 months post. i plan to leave my twists in until at least monday since i am buried under 23 inches of snow.

I just received my Seyani Hair Butter in the mail today so I can't wait to use it!!!

I am under a plastic cap and bonnet dryer right now deep conditioning. I really would like to blow dry and flat iron so I can see how my hair hangs in the back after cutting the nape off, but I think I will hold off on doing that until next week. I can't wait to try this hair butter.

I probably will do some flat twists and leave them in my hair until Monday morning.

I am!!! :)
I'm snowed in with my boo, so I've got nothin but time. I figured I'd make it a grand slam hair day. Started with a coconut oil scalp massage and prepoo (about an hour), rinsed and shampooed with elucence moisture shampoo, then applied a black rinse and sat under the dryer for about 45 minutes.

Then rinsed and applied joico kpak, and I'm back under the dryer.
After I rinse, I'll do a moisture dc with creme of nature extreme moisture, rollerset with lacio lacio/nairobi foam wrap, and enjoy my glossy moist curls! :lick:

Deep conditioning -- cholesterol conditionering with a winter cap on top. I've been chilling for about 6 hours now.

N&W, because I believe any and everything my Big Sister tells me, I'm going to buy the L'Occtaine Repairing shampoo and mask to try. I am using WEN, AVEDA and the rest of my remaining CON because I've sworn off all sulfate shampoos. But you've never let me down and you are a true blessing in my life. :bighug:

I am too, I started yesterday taking out my braids, then had to unmatt! Today I just put in my rinse and conrowed it to get it ready for my fresh braids. My head is so sore right now! Also, using the cons my hair feels so rough.

Maybe I used too many. I used the con that comes with the natural instincts rinse, just a little and rubbed it in. Then on top of that I used LeKair cholesterol. Sat under the dryer for 30 min. Got in the shower rinsed it out and used the purple CON. But my hair feels rough for some strange reason.

Oh last night I dc'd with the Joico Moist balm con for 20 min. what am I doing wrong?

Next month with this same routine I will have to only use one con and see what happens.

I finished about an hour ago. Notes to self don't keep corn rows in longer than 4 weeks.
So I found a regi that works for me
Once a month Coconut oil overnight, ORS scalp scrub in the morning, wash jason biotin poo, DC Dudleys DRC 28 protein, DC QH cholesterol mixed with aphogee moisturizing conditioner and coconut oil for about an hour and half. NTM leave in sat under dryer for 15 minutes. ALL OF THIS DONE WHILE STILL IN THE SAME CORNROWS. once 70% dry I take one braid out spray with taliah waajid moisturizer detangle add a little chi silk infusions and blow dry on cool using tension mention with my hand. that took for ever. My hair only lost about a dime size of shed hair. I am so excited!!!! I found staples and what method works for me as I am 6mths post. ;):):):)
ETA: I co wash once a week and DC once a week

Not my own but DD's. Washed and DC'd her hair earlier. Let it air dry moisturized with Coconut oil. Now I'm cornrowing into a mowhawk. My hair is up next and I can't wait. Since we're snowed in I'm indulging my hair obsession all weekend!

I am ...getting ready for a party tonight...washed with Nexxus Therappe and conditioned with Humectress...rollerset and under the dryer now...end style will be a roller wrap (the usual)

Under the dryer now after relaxing 11 wks post. I usually go 12 or longer, but I wanted a fresh look since I will be going out Friday night pre-Valentine.

Me! Me! Meeeeeee!!!!

I'm under my steamer right now with AO GPB conditioner on my dry hair. This is the first wash since I flat ironed and chopped 6 inches of my damaged hair last Sunday (4 inches in the back). Can't wait to see if the cut will make my curls sing.

I heard that the henna works wonders for that problem....:yep:
Too much work for me. I prefer rinses.:yep: I'm not henna savvy and if it is as messy as I've heard...no thanks!:nono: I did a baking soda conditioning treatment and my hair is super soft!

me... i'm deep conditioning and then i will rinse... put a lot of oil in my hair... put corn-rolls in... then LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

Hey Nice & Wavy! Long time no talk...hope all is going well!

I JUST walked out of the salon...my hair is swangin! I was soooo tryin to do the sexy look...but then my hair kept stickin to my lipgloss and getting stuck in my mouth. Needless to say, that didn't work out too well LOL.

Anyhoo, I relaxed this morning and I'm taking pics to upload into my fotki right now. I LOOOOOVE my stylist. So much so, that I am going to make a post about her in the "Salon Review" Discussion Board. (I'll update this post later when I do it). My stylist is AMAZING. She knows about LHCF and how we are about our hair...she's very accomodating to our hair demands :look: I owe a huge praise to the health of my hair to her, she is the only other person whose hands are in my hair, other than myself. Any of you ladies interested in looking for a hairdresser/stylist in Ft. Lauderdale/Sunrise/Tamarac area, I recommend her 100%!

I just bought a Pibbs 514 so I can't wait till it comes. I'm going to be a roller-setting queen by the end of 2010!
Hey girl...how are you doing? Yes, it's been quite a while...good to see you  I can't wait to see your pictures.

Sitting under the dryer with rollers in my hair as I type.

I can't believe my hair is so dry. I just went researching moisturizing conditioners last week and decide to go with Carol's Daughter.
The reviews are so mixed I thought I'd give it a try since I can pick it up at Sephora. So, I did and tried it last night. My curls/kinks looked nice. The hair was softer. I figured it was a fluke.

So, I decided I would roller set my hair and do it again to see if it changes. Also, I hadn't detangled for over a month. I let the CD Khoret Amen Smoothie sit in my hair for 15 minutes under the dryer. I did stuff around the apartment. Then, I ran a little warm water in my hair and started to detangle. It was pretty effortless. But I still wasn't convinced.

I'm going to a movie at 8pm so I figured I had time to give my hair some tlc.

I have to admit that my hair looked shiny after doing the dc w/ heat today.

We will see how well it works.

So far I've only used about 2 lids full of the 8 oz container. It's really think and absorbs quickly.

Wish my hair luck. Goodness knows it needs it.
I'm glad that you found something that works for you...I hate when my hair is dry too.:yep:

Me Me Me! I prepoo'd overnight with vatika oil. I just washed with YTC adding wheat protein (detangling was beautiful!) :lick: I am now dc with YTC scalp and hair mask added silk protein. I do believe I have found my Holy Grail!!! :notworthy I am thinking about returning this Garnier Fructis I purchased and stocking up on another set of the YTC while its on sale.
I know you loved the YTC as a DC...it's really good stuff:yep:

I'm heating up some Loreal botanicals oil (I ran out of my favorite olive oil) for a hot oil treatment.

I haven't used protein in weeks so I need some.

I'm going to wash with Aphogee poo for damaged hair and follow that with the 2 minute reconstructor.

I purchased the yes to carrots mask and I'll DC with that for the first time.

I'll do my first rollerset of the year today.
YTC is great...how did your hair come out?

I am finished now. this has been an all morning process. Your hair looks fabulous in your siggy. I can't wait for my hair to be your length!

It's so nice to see so many of us doing our hair and enjoying the process...I look forward to this every week now.

My hair came out wonderful. Since I've been using the L'Occtaine, my hair is sooooooo much better now. It's not starving for moisture...thank God!

Thanks ladies for participating in my thread....this was a great day!

I am... finally!! DCing with ORS Replenishing Mixed w/ Porosity Control and another DC that I don't really like but am trying to use up... oh and some EVOO...

I am waiting for my hair to cool down after sitting under the dryer on low for 30 minutes...

I'm gonna clarify shortly and use Joico K-pak (GVP version) and then I'll braid my hair up in 4-6 braids and leave it be until thursday when I relax!

I am...Sitting up under the dryer as I type- Hot and about to pass out...SMH- But alternating between roller sets and buns seem to be working, so imma stick with it!

:meme:, I am deep conditioning my hair right now with Alterna Hemp Hydrate, mixed with Nature's Gate Hemp Nourishing Conditioner and some Sunflower oil (my ceramide). Time to wash it out now. I know exactly how you feel about the delicious smell of your conditioners and poos N&W. I love that smell of them too:lick:.
