I love, love, LOVE your hair:love:! I keep coming back to this thread..lol! The stylist did a fantastic job and you look beautiful!

You hair looks gorgeous! It's so shiny and healthy looking.
She did a great job! I would pay someone $65 to do my hair like that every once in a while.
I can't believe she just used mousse LOL, that part is blowing my mind.
Your shrinkage is amazing.

I keep coming back too. I'm trying to figure out how I can get my hair like that.

That looks really nice!

Hush up, DLewis, on the shrinkage assault. :p

I love, love shrinkage. It's like magic! I love when people have to do a double take coz "Didn't you just have short hair yesterday?" :giggle:

That shrinkage needs a spanking.

Where the twists stop and curly hair begin, did she use a rubber band or something to keep it from coming undone?

^^^Usually with this style with the right product you don't need to use rubber bands.

I haven't used those when I do this style.

This is gorgeous and I think the price was great. Thanks for posting the pics, I was waiting after reading the challenge thread. :-) The one time I went to a natural stylist I paid $75 to get two strand twists and they were probably double or more the size she did yours. And 4.5 hrs was excellent as well. I think they will last, but then again, I'm the type to not let water hit it so that it will last, lol.
Yes, please find out the name of the mousse she used, not that I need any more products.

So AMAZING....just BEAUTIFUL! I've always loved your twists in your siggy these twists are just DIVINE! She did a great job. At least you now have somewhere to go when you want a treat for your hair. I can't wait to find 'THAT' stylist in Jersey.

Oooooop - do you like your hair? I loooooooove  it. I am not trying to figure out who I can get to do my hair like that. That shrinkage frightens and excites me. Its like hiding your hair bcuz no one would suspect that it would shrink that much. It is shiny and looks so healthy. I just love it.

She did a beautiful job but just looking at your hair and your edges i can tell you do a good job of taking care of you hair as well!!!
P.S( before you stretched that section of your hair i could already tell you had a nice length of hair on your head)

that style is really, really cute!!

and, damn, $65??!! *fans self thinking of my broke college student bank account*
shooooooot....i should start taking some clients and making some bank. :evilbanana:

What product would you recommend?

I have used the following and not necessarily together.

24/7 moisture lotion by Hairveda
Wipped Jelly by Hairveda
Megasilk leavin in Moisturizing Cream by Silk Elements
Almond Glaze by Hairveda
Shaealoe butter by Soapersupplies
Regular or Olive Oil Styling Gel by ECO styler (maximum hold)
Alove Vera Gel or Juice
I will at times mix these in bold type with the other products above

In the front flat twists II most times will mix either the aloe vera or the ECO styler with one of the other products. Or use them alone and then spray with a braid spray or an oil.

I want the front to stay in place but I don't want it real hard after it dries either.

If you have any moisturizing cream type product that gives you softness and shine with some hold you should be able to use it when creating twists.

I even have one I made up trying to use for wash and gos but this recipe was a disaster for that but it was incredible for doing twists or comb coils.

Disclaimer: I am not the owner or seller of any of these products.
