Hairitage Hydration's Blackberry Sage Moisturizer (it's called a moisturizer, but it has no water in it, so I consider it a butter. Very rich and creamy. :lick: )

OT (help me out):
I've been wondering, what makes a product a "butter," versus a moisturizer or a cream? Is it the absence of water? Something else?

Dayjoy good question. I had the same question a few days ago. To me, water first means it is a moisturizer otherwise it is a sealer.

My butter that I use mostly on my hair, but started out as a body butter.

butters 60-70%
Cocoa
shea ( white one)
murumurru
cupuacu
Oils- 40-30%
babassu
castor
sweet almond( this I would switch out with any other oil i feel like, cameilla, hazlenut etc)
rosehip seed

I'm ready to try something new. B.A.S.K. Sevenfold Butter Blend Hair Butter sounds good right about now. :lick:

greenandchic, I got a sample of the Sevenfold butter blend and had to use it on my hands in a pinch and it made my skin feel amazing! I knew that it would be great on my hair, and it was. The butter is very soft and pliable, and just a wee bit oily, so you don't want to use too much. The scent reminds me of lemongrass :lick: I really think that I may purchase this in the future. Right now I've got a little PJism going on.

Here are some butters to add to the list:
b.a.s.k. Palm Tapioca - On my recently cut hair, this hair cream separates my curls and gives shine. I really like it. The smell takes a little getting used too. It's like chocolate covered cherry ice cream. :lick: The butters in it are: cocoa, cupuacu, and ucuuba.

b.a.s.k. Java Bean & Honey - Even though this only has two butters in it, I think that it is still a great consistency and. I can't wait to try this on some twists or braids. Has coffee bean and cocoa butter.

More:
