I think it's going to take me 7 hours to take down my braids, and another two to wash, condition and detangle. In an effort to get to bed before 3 in the morning, I want to ask you: what was your first or easiest transitioning hair style? I have about 3"-4" of ng and about 12" of relaxed (oh, make that 11", cause I'm giving myself a trim too), if that helps, and I'm looking at what the best first style would be for me to try this weekend. TIA

how about a braidout? If doesn't look cute in the morning you can always put it in a bun or ponytail.

Twists/twist out. Buns. Those were the easiest for me.

Thank you both so much, Kristina and Cichelle! I was thinking about one of these to try out, so it's seems I'm thinking in the right direction!

I totally agree. I have been transitioning for 9 almost 10 months. I favor buns and twistouts too.
