Im thinking of switching it up a little and trying this style..

That is a pretty style and once you take it down it will turn into some beautiful curls or waves.

I think it looks nice and will look good on you. But I don't think they came accomplish this style without gel.

Kini - Prob for like a week  Then I will try the twist out...

and I would use my Fantasia IC in Extra Hold

It does not get hard, it holds great with Kemi and water :D

But im not sure how to do it in the back .. hmm

Not only is this a cute style KhandiB. It would look good on you too.

Let us know if you try it! :)

yes - this is pretty and it works for protective style. This makes me miss NY. Could go to 125th and get this for like $25.

Thanks crlsweetie912., what's qp gel?
I forgot the Elasta!

I have worn the front of my hair like this a lot. Usually I just bun, or put a phony pony on and a week sounds good to me. I have never been able to wear a cute twistout after though.

It's very cute. Yes, please take pics, and if you do it yourself, let us know what you did to get the style. :)

I love this style and plan to make it my next protective style. My sister wears her hair like this continuously and her hair has gone from SL to mid-back from January 06 to Thanksgiving.

It's a really cute style! I had mine done and was able to keep it for two weeks without it looking ratty. Bump coils work well too (haven't been able to find pics). I used Mizani gel and it worked very well. No dryness, flaking, or breakage.

yes you can, you can use qp glaze or something like that. It's mostly the tension, not gel.

I agree. I used to get my hair done like this when it was longer and my stylist did not use gel. I'm natural and was natural at the time so I don't know if that will make a difference.
