I am really trying to determine what was the cause of my hair's dryness and severe shedding last week. (I had to go to Dominican's to save it- thanks kinikakes). So, does anyone use humecto alone and get great results.

Thanks Ebony- I know not everything is for everyone but it seems like it works for everyone but us- lol!!!:lol::lol:
I really have to figure out what the heck I'm going to do with this 5lb container...

I know! It's so annoying, especially since I have the bottle AND the 5lb tub. It doesn't work for me because of all of the mineral oil and cones. Does your hair hate them, too?

Yeah my hair hates it with a passion. Do you remember last week when I was complaining that my hair was extremely dry? I determined it had to be Humecto because that was the only thing new in my regimen. So now I have to figure out what to do with this tub. Arrrhh- maybe I could use it as shaving creme?

I've just used it twice and it's just...OK. :ohwell:

This is the one in the tub. I think y'all are gonna see this in the exchange forum soon.

Well, you ladies let me know when you're selling, because I'm buying. I've never used the one out of the tub, just the bottle. I've been using this line for the last 2 years and my hair just loves it. It has never dried out my hair.

Well, I guess its because my hair loves the cones, not sure about the mineral oil:confused: , but definitely the cones.

So let a sister know so I can get some.

I'm in the same boat, humecto has made my hair so dry and miserable, and i need to find a replacement conditioner by the time of my next wash.

Well don't talk about it...be about it...  Post that 5lb tub on the exchange forum!!!! I'm dying to purchase this...I'm just checking around for prices now.

Have you tried clarifying THEN trying it?

I think this line is intensely moisturizing but if your hair is already coated with something else it won't work.

Or you can ask the dominicans what they used on your hair and order those products.

I remember when you said your hair was dry. One day I omitted the Humecto and just used the Elucence, and my hair was so much better. Hmm, I never thought to use it as a shaving cream. I'm gonna try it, thanks!

LOL @ Goldensensation and Macherieamour. My cousin picked my 5lb tub over today, so I don't have to worry about it anymore. I'm gonna sell my bottle of Humecto soon.

ok well i totally jus ordered the 5lb tub of it and now im soooo scared
geez

I thought you already had it! You'll probably like it.

Tried it yesterday it seemed to help with the dryness issues that I am having...I think the hair should probably be clarified with the 1st lather shampoo if it causes dryness. I am going to stick with it for a while I tried everything and so far so good...(keeping my fingers crossed)

I'm wondering if I should use their products now. I was going to buy the "1st Lather shampoo" then the detangling one and the Humecto conditioner on top of it all. I'll let you all know my results.;)

I haven't tried the 1st lather shampoo; however, I read that it is really good - it detangles, does not dry out the hair and it is moisturizing.

Yeah, the 1st lather shampoo is great. I use 1st lather, followed by hydrating detangling shampoo, and finish with the dry and itchy scalp moisturizing conditioner. I haven't seen any dandruff flakes since using the the dry and itchy scalp conditioner. I haven't used Humecto in a while though. :ohwell:

I rotate between Avlon and Aveda. Just bought a new round of Avlon and am usuing it exclusively. I tried the clarifying shampoo and it made a MAJOR difference.

I have been trying to find the Humecto Tub and I havent had any luck. I guess I am just going to have to buckle down and order it from the internet.:cry3: I dont think I will use the whole line, because I  my NEXXUS. Just need to get that good ole Humecto.

Well, I just got the last tub of Humecto from Irby's :D ! I also got some shampoo, hairdress, leave-in, spritz (I know, I know! It's for rare emergencies ONLY!), oil moisturizer, essential oils... I can't remember what else, but I was in the hundreds :look:!

I tried the Humecto (bottle) for the 1st time last week, and I wasn't super impressed. However, I'm going to pick up some 1st Lather poo tonight and clarify (haven't done this in a while) and try again. I don't expect Humecto to be my HG conditioner, but I just wanted to give it a whirl. I'm still on a hunt for my staple deep conditioner....

ETA: I tried this after clarifying, and it was good, but I don't expect to buy it again. There are cheaper conditioners out there (without mineral oil & cones) that work just as well or better.

Humecto is one of my staples. I love the way my hair feels silky and moisturized after DC'ing with it. I only use the Humecto from the Keracare line. I wouldn't condition without it.
