I don't know what causes this, I'm guessing from me changing countries all the time.

It's not scabby, just really tender to touch, even washing it and the weight of the hair, pulling on my scalp hurts.

I haven't combed it in about a week now, because it's way too painful.

I've tried using my polytar that usually works,

But it hurts soo much, where it's hard to sleep, and just wrapping a scarf around my head is painful and makes my eyes water..

Does anybody have any remedies or what is good to use.

If I get no responses, I will be bumping this, because it is just way too painful. :( :( :(

You could apply a cool spritz to your hair. I experience a sore scalp when I have a lot of NG. Spritzing my hair with mixture of CFCG, Infusium 23 moisturology, and glycerin usually helps. To get it cool, you can set it in the refrigerator for a brief moment. Also, letting cool water run through my hair in the shower gives me relief. HTH.

Maybe some of the other ladies will have more suggestions.

I haven't experience this lately, but I haven't been out of the country in awhile. Just from state to state and I have to adjust the way I take care of my hair according the type of water and the climate.

Maybe some tea tree oil.

I have the same thing, I have done tons of research and it seems that the cure is EMU OIL. It is supposed to help with a tight and tender scalp.

"Emu Oil has been repeatedly recognized in the
cosmetic world for its ability to repair and heal the skin. It has also
been known to thicken skin layers and regulate production. "

I mix mine with a little nutmeg essential oil. It smells like creamy eggnog. I love it:love:. I apply with a nozzle tip bottle. I believe that emjazzy grew back a bald spot using Emu oil. It truly is a miracle product and I look forward to the great results.

You may also be experiencing an alergic reaction to a product that you are using. Surge tore my scalp up.

Thank you ladies.

I was on the phone crying to my mom. It's that painful. My hair isn't dropping out or anything, but it's so hard to do anything. I haven't gone out anywhere, because I can't do anything with my hair.

I thought it may be a change in product because my scalp is that sensitive. But I haven't changed anything. The only difference between a healthy scalp and now is me coming back to England to horribly dry water.

It's been worse before, where it hurt to even move my head, and by my ears was painful.

I'll see if I can find some emu oil or tea tree oil.

I've tried the cold water, and it only works temporarily, LOL, I'd love to sleep under the shower, or in the fridge.

I thought I was the only one who exp. this. I was home visiting my folks not to long ago and my mother felt it was the amount of hair growing out of my scalp. I'm not sure I believe this but she did point out that with the use of my growth oils and such I have a lot less obvious scalp. That is a fact- I have fine hair and my part used to be very noticeable- not in a balding kind of way.

I may slack up on MTG, WGO oil and Surge. I'll post after a week off. If I can do it...

Sera, I think I'd be booking an appointment with a dermatologist. :ohwell: Your scalp should not be hurting like that. :nono: I don't know what would cause that kind of hypersensitivity, to the point where you are on the brink of tears. I would have a professional look at that, you never know what something like that could be telling you. :ohwell: Is your head hurting too?

I'm so sorry that you're going through this...:(:(:(

Create a cooling spritz with distilled water, rosemary oil. Or, try emu oil. It's expensive but well worth it.

Feel better

Could very well be the water, maybe an allergic reaction. Or just a growth spurt.

My scalp gets sore and:burn: and thats usually when I'm going through a growth spurt. 3-4 days and its over with.

I use rosewater religously during those days because its really soothing and moisterizing to my scalp.

The only other time it really hurt a lot was when I tried to stretch out my wash days (I'll not do that again) It was pretty ugly:perplexed

I hope it turns out to be nothing serious. Do make sure your scalp isn't too dry.

Where can you buy emu oil? Is there a specific online retailer who sales it?

My head is fine. It really is just my scalp. I'm not sure if it's a product, because it is not all over my scalp. It is mainly at the top in the middle (I had two puffs when I came back to Engand) and the bottom left side.

I haven't changed my routine at all.

I think I should take a stop to the dermatologist, or at least my family doctor over here. Or see how it is tomorrow morning, I only used the poly tar today, and usually that works the best.

@Arcadian.
I'm hoping it is just the water. I'm allergic to nearly EVERYTHING. I should just live in a bubble

So sorry you are going through this! :( If it's enough pain to make a grown woman cry, that's serious.

For me, tea tree oil is the end all, be all. There's no scalp problem it can't remedy. Haven't tried emu oil, cuz I don't have :dollar: like that , but the tea tree oil is the stuff for me.

I hope you feel better soon.
