Thanks Kaela for your post yesterday about your curly style. I tried it with John Freida Dream Curls and it turned out really good. Nice defined 3b curls! Looks natural too. And you're right. The hardest part is keeping your hands out of it while it's drying. I failed. Hehe. But it still turned out good. I'll try harder next time:D

Soslychic, can you give details on how you're using this product? I love wearing my 4A hair scrunched into natural waves but have yet to find the perfect product to define the wave pattern. I use IC hair polish which works ok but I still get a lot of frizz.

Does the JF Dream Curls give definition without making the hair hard?

Hi Robin!

Sure. This is what I did:

After my conditioner wash and conditioning with keracare, I used some of my homemade leave in conditioner (suave strawberry conditioner, olive oil, and distilled water) and then I combed through. After that, I just sprayed on some John Frieda Curls and scrunched a little and left alone (basically

I have some sections of my hair in the front that are overprocessed and are straight instead of texturized so I twisted those. Then after it dried, I had defined 3b looking curls and it was wavy in the front. Then this morning, I sprayed with distilled water and sprayed with more John Frieda and scrunched a little again. Then I put some gel on the ends to give it that "wet" look and that was it. As far as making my hair hard, it didn't at first, but then when I did my little morning touchup it felt a little stiff but I'm sure thats because I used to much (I was gettin' a little crazy)

I'm gonna tone it down next time and so far compared to the other products I've found, it leaves my hair less crunchy than anything else. I really like it.

Next time, I think I'm gonna try a styling cream before spraying to give it more of a "finished and shiny" look. HTH!

Actually SSC - the deal with John Frieda Dream Curls is that it really works BEST on wet hair. It goes crispy when applied to dry hair.

i also give the JF dream curls a thumbs up..in the morning after the steam penetrates my hair in the shower..i appply it to my slighty damp hair and the curls are perfect...

Ok, I really don't need to add yet another product to my arsenal, but I LOOOOVE the scrunchie style so I'll have to look for it.

Thanks for the tip!
