Hey y'all, I've been thinking hard about doing yarn locs on myself, but first I'd like to ask. Does anyone have any tips or any Pros or Cons about them?

I used to love doing yarn Locs but I found that they were drying to my hair even though I moisturized with care free curl. I wasn't sealing back then so maybe that made a difference. I never liked washing my hair with them installed because they would get so heavy and carry an odor. I kind of gave up on them as a good protective style for my hair.
