Well I just came back from JCpenny buying my staple products which I am planning to use for six months and not buy anything else. Keracare is my staple, but anywho as I was standing there thinkng to myself lhcf has broken me down.

Before I would have never spent over $.99 for some shampoo and conditioner was just dwhite mans way of getting my money. Ajax dish detergent, box lye soap or ivory soap worked just as fine. Dwhite man making all this stuff to get our money just aint happening.:lachen:

I was just standing there in the salon smiling thinking chile u have come along way girl. I have reliazed that just as important as my skin, teeth and the foods I eat my hair is the same. So (standing up in the chair with my knee in the air) I will not use ajax, box lye, chicken grease mixed with pig feet oil and herbs or ivory to wash my hair. I will not use royal crown or blue majic to help my dandruff and to oil my scalp.:yep: (i also have use trend to wash my hair)

Ladies I just want to say thank you to everyone and to the founders of this great site. As a black women I felt like so many long hair was only for other races but u all have proved the statistics very wrong. So heres to my new friends LCHF live long, play hard and grow hair...... Piece love and chicken grease.

Yeah LHCF is something else isn't it? if it wasn't for LHCF, I probably wouldn't have any hair at all with the terrible hair habits I had in the past. Glad to have you a part of the community  HHG!

same here  i used to think conditioner was a conspiracy.

Lol! I love the way you write. "Dwhite" lmao. If you had a book I'll definitely read it. I haven't been on LHCF long (ignore my start date lol, I just starting posting) and I already want to throw away all my products. LHCF is the internet's best kept secret. There should be a book from this website!

I know this may sound wired but I acutally used ivory soap and ajax to was my hair when I was growing up and I did not start to use condisioner until about 1 1/2 ago. I didn't even use the condishioner in the relaxer box.

My grandma used to say we don't use white folxs shampoo in our hair and that stuck with me. But now here I am and dwhite man dun got me hooked on shampoo and condishes lawd have mercy on me dwhite man dun tooka maw po ole soul.....

You are not alone...I *never* purchased conditioner til I joined LHCF. My stash was only shampoo (any kind) and Luster's Pink Lotion :barf:

You're all so funny... I really thought I was the only one doing the minimum to my hair before LHCF, just pree-poo, poo, and condish... no DC, no leave-in, no moisturizers. Well, compared to you, I feel like a licensed beautician :) :) :)

You did NOT use chicken grease mixed with pig feet oil! :lachen:LMBO!!! :lachen:

LMAO, I feel you on that one considering that my mother is a avid user of using body soap as shampoo..? It makes me cringe everytime she steps out of the shower and I feel how rough and dry her hair is. Ladies drop the Body soap and trade it in for some real Shampoo and Conditioner.
