I havenever heard of this, but it looks good. These items would have been perfect for me when I was getting braids all the time. I love the wipes! There are so many times when you want to freshen up your braids w/o getting them all wet.

Seabreeze is supposed to be good to clean the scalp. You can use a wash cloth or a Q-tip to wipe the scalp clean. I used to use a waterless shampoo. This worked pretty well and I believe Organic Root Stimulator has a waterless scalp cleanser

My braiders always told me to use q-tips, but they seem to leave cotton sometimes and even more when I had lots of new growth in there. Because of that I never used them.

Yeah, I've heard the same about both of those! For some reason, ORS products really do not agree with my head. I tried them for about 6 months and it just didn't work out. :nono:

Me, too - I tried q-tips to no avail. I'm really thinking of trying the stuff from believe-n-braids. I wonder if similar things are sold at a local BSS... I don't really want to pay for shipping. :ohwell:

Those look like the sponge paint brushes they have at hardware stores. I am not sure if those come in such small sizes, but I think it is worth it to check out. Then you can use the products that trimbride mentioned.

I was telling someone about this site today and she told me that when she has braids she uses Tucks pads in the same way to clean the braids when she does not feel like washing them. Tucks have witch hazel in them so that is actually not a bad idea.

how do you use sea breeze and do you still use water i was thinking about useing witch hazel it has 14% alcohol so i really donot know help please

That's a good idea about checking a Hardware store. I had a feeling that such products are more readily available than just that website. What are Tucks pads?

Hi Baby42! The way that it was always recommended to me was to use q-tips with sea breeze and go between braids. You can still use water to shampoo. I know that if/when I get braids I can realistically only wash them once a week, and I hate the feel of build-up on my scalp, so ideally you would use sea breeze during the week and then shampoo on the weekends or something like that (at least, ideally for me)? :)

They are cleansing pads (I think for more private areas :look: ) that are pre-moistened with witch hazel. I had never heard of using them for the scalp, but I just looked up witch hazel and it is not bad for the scalp.

I used them YEARS ago after I had a baby ( my son is 12 now)

I guess you could just use witch hazel and q-tips, as well, but my co-worker said that those pads had kinda quilted and don't shed to get cotton in your hair.

Not a bad idea. Who knew!?

I'm getting pretty excited! :bouncy:

31 is still VERY young, I'll be 38 this year though I'm still claiming 29 until TJ catches up! :sekret:

I'll have some digital photos on Sunday or Monday, if he lets me near the puter. We're honeymooning in about 2 weeks.

Wait - he's younger!? Go head girl!! :D :D

I always washed my braided hair with no problems but I've found that if you saturate the q-tip, you won't get any cotton in your hair.
