Don't think i'm crazy, i've been pouring this rum on my head for the past two days, my mum says its good for headaches and its helping. the question is will it damage my hair? because its feeling kinda dry. now you might say..why didn't you take painkillers but i hate doctors tablets, no good for you. any way, i thought i'd share just to humour you.

Den, definitely an Island thing! My grannie used to pat my head with this stuff when I had headaches and gives me some when I had colds. According to her this stuff was the cure all for everything .

Personally, I can think of better things to do with my overproof rum. But anyway, I think the alcohol will eventually dry out your hair.

Drinking lots of water is good for headaches, I'm not really one to take medicine either.

Yes, it does feel a little drier than usual, i'm planning to shampoo and condition it this week, so hopefully that will take care of things.

ITA its definItely an island thing, my mum comes from Jamaica so she knows all the the remedies for all types of ailments, i tell you she's lethal with that stuff lol . thanks for the compliments ladies.

Never heard of the rum thing, but I just wanna say that I just looooove your hair den1! I haven't seen it since the last time I saw it on Robin's website (crown-n-glory method). It's even longer now!

You look gorgeous in the photo and very happy. Are you sure your putting the stuff on your head and not in your mouth . On a serious note have you had an eysight test because sometimes headaches are caused by the strain on the eyes? Other than that your hair is beautiful.

I don't know anything about the rum... but the alcohol would dry your hair I think. We use 200 proof ethanol in my lab... and it definitely dries the skin.

zigzag1: I assure you i haven't been knocking back any rum lol!!!my eyes do get pretty sore,probably from reading too many LHCF posts lol!!!!!!!!so i more than likely need an eye test.
