Would you consider braiding weave bad for your hair?

I'm following LadyPanialo's deep moisture method this year (Low manipulation), and since my braids become too fuzzy too quickly, I was thinking of cornrowing it with braiding hair. It would help prolong the life of my braids, but I don't know if it would dry out my hair somehow. Because, when I do my deep conditioning treatments, I think the fake hair will hinder my hair's moisture absorption. Maybe I'm just being silly...
So, what do you ladies think? should I go ahead and get the braids?

I think you have to be careful with any added hair that is not yours. Just keep an eye on it and make sure you keep it moisturized. When I had synthetic hair cornrows I moisturized 2x daily and baggied at night to make sure my hair was getting what it needed.

I know that when I braid my hair with synthetic hair, I've always retained more moisture. Since it's a synthetic fiber, it doesn't absorb the products the way human braiding hair does.

I always had to moisturize way more often with human braiding hair.
