Ok so everytime i go to Reniece's website or her sister'sfotki, i want a weave really bad!...would it be shallow/extremerly vain to trvale from the over side of the atlantic 3 times a year for one to get their hair done? :drunk:. This is all "hypothetically speaking" of course, because to be honest i can't stand the grow out wait i'd rather "look good" whilst its growing. I know other people can look good whilst growing their hair out, but short hair does not look anywhere near as good as long hair on me...

I don't think so. After seeing what she can do, I would love to have the opportunity get my hair done by her. It doesn't matter to me how far, as long as it's done right, ya know? Now this is coming from a person who knows good and well she can't afford to travel every 4 months or so, but if I could I most certainly would:)

Ahh its good to know im not alone...

To answer the question, "No, I wouldn't. I'd find someone just as good in my own area."

If you feel its extremely neccessary and you want THIS PERSON SPECIFICALLY to do your hair, then by all means 'do you and travel to her.

I've heard of Reniece from this site and she may be as good as people proclaim, but don't get caught up in the hype b/c I'm pretty sure if you ask around, you can find a beautician equally as good in your area and save the traveling cost.

Its your decision to make. Good luck. :yep:

No, I don't think it's all that bad. But then again I love jet-setting and finding excuses to treat myself... Maybe you can turn it into a little pampering excursion while you're at it... Set up a spa appt for a facial and massage, and it could be your 3x a year super treat. I'd travel across the country for a good weave, when I "put my hair up," I only want the best doing it..

Heck the next time I decide to weave up, I'm flying into NY from LA so that my stylist can do it... Or she'll be flying out to me (I live in LA now and heck I'll pay for it). :lachen: I'm sure I can easily find someone to do it, but when you really want it done by someone specifically then why justify your choice...

girl are you kidding me ? Her work is da bomb ... do you and do her and look good (not do her as in "that" way .. u get me ? )

I got ya!... see im sooo desperate that i would turn it into a little excursion every 5/4 months as Foxie said. I'd so some shopping and what not and thats it.All i know is that i use to wear weaves, my stylist was good but not on the level of Reniece or her sister. My stylist did not care to much about hair health and when i see the progress pictures...

Just check all of them out! Then i think hmm if i just went for 2 years i would be so on point!

If I could afford it, and there was no one as good in my area, heck yea I would! Her work looks good and she obvioulsy doesn't braid too tight like a lot of people because it's not damaging the hair!

I would def. do it:yep:......what is better than shopping and getting your hair done....?(ok there are better things :lachen:)but I would do it.....she does AMAZING work!!!!!! All of her clients hair are gorgeous!!!!

Of course! :lick:. Well to be honest if i get a job this summer i wouldn't mind taking a trip before i start university, but seesh flights to baltimore aren't as cheap as flights to Miami/NY etc...

Heck yeah I would do it if I had the money. I get mine done every 3-5 months. I love Reniece's work too. As much as I love my stylist, if I could afford it, I'd go to Reniece too.

Ok these comments really have me thinking...even though im in the UK. Hey thats what student loans are for right? :look:

I don't see anything wrong with it. If I could afford it I would be in San Diego every 8 to 10 weeks letting my old stylist relax my hair. It would be worth it to me. As a matter of fact, when I was in the military, my room mate the weave queen left base all the time to go to the US(Diego) from Japan and Hawaii to get her hair done. I wasnt focused on hair in those days but her hair was always kickin.

Nope! Just a couple of thoughts...if you have to borrrow money to do it, can you really afford it? I have seen her sight and agree that she does great work, but there's bound to be someone just as great in your area, like the other ladies stated. My personal definition of being able to afford something is when I have a nice cushion of savings in case something happens and I need to tap into it, plus there is a surplus in terms of income. And as a person who still owes money on student loans (many years after graduation), I only WISH I had borrowed less, as I spent some of that money on things that really weren't necessary. I don't mean to be preachy, but I feel compelled to give an honest opinion on this...but I hope you'll reconsider...whatever you decide, good luck!

No, I would not fly to another country to get my hair done, unless it was like England to France or something like that. Here in the US, I might fly to another state if it was every year or something.

But I would assume that there's someone either in the UK or in the EU who can do fabulous weaves. Also, a solution might be a two-step process--get the braiding done by someone who focuses on loose braided/healthy hair (and can prep for the weave), and the weaving done by someone else.

Sometimes it's really about telling people what your expectations are and what your goals are--often they will accommodate them. My best friend is a stylist who focuses on healthy hair, for example, so if I wanted her to do my weaves, I'd make it clear that my main priority is to gain healthy growth under the weave. That's not everyone's goal--some people could care less what happens to their hair, as long as the weave is fly.

^^ Co-sign! Don't use loans to get your hair done hun.

But yes, I would do this if I had the means. There is a woman in Nairobi that does the best braid styles, I'd be over there every month if I could.

If I had the means to do so AND I know she delivered a quality salon experience then I would do it!

If I could afford it, I absolutely would...and you should too if you want/are able. I regularly look at her site and am always mesmerized(and have seriously thought about flying to see her:yep:)

Haha, nah our loans are a bit different, we all pay the sae amount of tuition regradless of what university you goto, and as long as you staying away from home you all getsam/similar amount of loan (from the government)...iwouldn't take anything extra...i just find that when you handle your money well, theres some left over. Anywhoo i digress if i did do it i would not be getting myself into anything, if i could find a weave specialist here (or the mainland Europe) i'd happily go there... *still looking*
