Hello everyone,
After 3 years of hair care and lurking this forum, I have finally decided to join. Yayyy! I like it here on "the other side" lol. Well, since then, I have decided to transition to natural. I hit the BSL length and was tired of my ends thinning away. I have been transitioning for 7 months and I have gotten the hang of it. I am going to BC when I have SL of natural hair so I am assuming I have close to 2 years left.

From people who have/are transitioning, does your reggie change after you go from relaxed/texlaxed? I am very worried. I have about 3 inches of NG on the back, 2 on the sides and front. I was very upset about detangling until I have found some minor tweeks to my reggie, but just out of curiosity and worry , will my reggie work when I am fully natural?

Did any of you decide to only use natural products? Why or why not? Did you follow CG NOW or when you were fully natural?

Thank you all so much for the adivce, tips, and help that I have recieved in the last 3 years. It has been truly a joy.

I'm transitioning with braids but my regimen hasn't changed too much. When out of braids, I find that I have to be careful when washing because of the different textures so i wash in braided/twisted sections. Apart fom that there isn't much of a difference. I just do the basics- wash, condition, moisturise. I expect my reggie will change somewhat when I'm fully natural.

I have started using more natural products- I use baking soda, coconut cream, honey, and just got some ACV and bentonite clay. They're cheap, easily available and it helps keep my PJism under control. I still use commercial products but I'm more aware of what ingredients they contain.

:welcome3: Your regimen may not change much per se, especially if you got to BSL already but your technique and or products may, for example where before as a relaxed head you needed a heavy protein every 8 weeks you may now do one every 12 or so if you're transitioning slowly you'll probably figure it all out. For me, my texlaxed ends are not happy with the protein I'm using but my natural hair seems ecstatic...
