Anyone ever made it thru a whole winter with one and not have it chew off your hair? I just bought a really pretty black one, but I haven't worn it b/c I'm scared :D I've heard so many stories about breakage due to hair being in direct contact with the coat.

wear a silk scarf around your neck find a black one or one you like another option is to put a track in your hair from ear to hair line to ear that way your hair will sit on the track and not your coat

Caramela I just took of my wool coat and I was reminded why I put myself on a bun challenge during the winter. The coat will likely claim some of your hairs and the worst part is that you won't be able to see them right away if your hair is dark. Don't let that keep you from wearing your cute new coat just protect your ends!

Oh no!! Wool coats are back! They rip up my hair. But, last winter I wore a phony tail around my pony tail if I wanted to wear my hair out. Otherwise, I put on my beautiful black hat!:)

I have a piece of black satin that I am going to use to line the hood and hair eater parts of my coat. I might just end up wrapping it around my head.

Also remember that if the wool is rubbing against the nape area, you will lose hair in that area as well.
