my hair really feels at its best after a good clarifying shampoo. i dont think my hair does well with old product at all. WNGs are simpler in some ways but i feel almost like i have to actually shampoo every time.

It's not my hair that needs the shampoo, it's my scalp. I use a mild shampoo every time I do my hair which is generally about once a week.

I've been co washing everyday for the last two weeks or so since it's summer now. I'll be washing with a sulfate free poo once a week.

My hair feels best after clarifying, too. I feel the need to shampoo about 2x a week. I've started doing my hair every other day instead of every day, and this past week I didn't get around to shampooing until Friday, which means I only shampoo'd once. I really prefer the twice a week thing lol. I hate that build-up feeling.

I cowash every other day. I used to shampoo every week. but it's been about 3 weeks. (I moved, left my sulfate free shampoo at my mom's and haven't bought anymore.) It hasn't seemed like it's needed it but I'll probably shampoo in a few days.

i think our hair is very similar. can you come do my hair? :look:

lol I'm so boring and style-challenged, other than shampooing and DCing, I have nothing to offer

what kind of products do you use? like water-based? I use a lot of safflower oil and I have a leave-in that has shea in it, so I can't pass on the frequent shampooing without my hair feeling gross over time (too much build up). I find I don't need to shampoo as often when I use very light products. I really don't mind the shampooing at all, though; my hair has always responded well to poo lol. Nothing beats that clean feeling

Once a week at the most and once a month at the least. I listen to my hair and try to react accordingly.

I shampoo more for the health of my scalp than my strands though.
