With hair steamers do you have to use just distilled water?

Yes, distilled water is recommended because it doesn't have the impurities in it like tap water. Over time, the minerals in tap water can gunk up the steamer.

I purchased my steamer on Amazon.

I purchased mine from SalonsRUs now LCL Beauty.

And Yes, I have the one where Distilled Water is a MUST. Had it since 2009 and it still works GREAT!

You should use distilled water even in the ones that says "use tap water". I have the one where you can use tap water...but that's a LIE. Tap water almost ruined my steamer with calcium deposits. I had to clean and scrape the calcium out with vinegar. Now, I only use distilled water.
