my leave in is still either Cantu shea butter or HE NOYF condish but I've been using butters like Almond, Sunflower, Hemp Seed.. they hold moisture for DAYS!

I switched to my non-glycerin stash - Curl Junkie Curl Rehab, Curl Junkie Beauticurls LI, Oyin Hair Dew, KCKT. Oh and Oyin Honey Hemp...even with glycerin it still works for me.

Winter - Shea Moisture Shea Butter leave in

Summer - a moisturizing spray with Qhemet Biologic's Olive and Honey Hydrating Balm

For winter I'm experimenting with sealing with Vaseline. This is my first time trying this and so far it seems to keep my ends really soft. I'm still using HE LTR leave-in and NTM Split End Mender as my moisturizers. I also spritz my hair with African Royale Braid Spray before applying my leave-in(s).

In the summer I use the same products but I seal with hot 6 oil instead.

I use the same moisturizer so far, I am thinking of switching to Bee Mine Bee lovely moisturizing daily conditioner.

I have changed the oil I seal with. I was using a mixture of sweet almond oil/evoo/Wheat germ oil

I tried sealing with Vaseline but it made me break out.

I am now sealing with Hollywood Beauty Castor oil hair treatment with Mink oil and so far so good. Yes, it has mineral oil (Paraffin) but my hair seems to do okay with this ingredient. It does not prevent moisture from getting to my strands. It smells divine as well. When I was using oil it was making my hair stick together, using the Hollywood stuff my hair is much softer and I can run my fingers through my hair alot easier. Did I mention it smells divine. I might use this indefinately. I clarify whenever I use products that dont rinse away with water so I will do that on my next shampoo.

I also have noticed I cant skip a few days of M&S, it is now done daily.

Definitely no coconut oil during the winter since it hardens so I use it in the summer because I love the coconut smell and it reminds me of summer. I use mainly olive oil, castor oil, avocado oil or rice bran oil(ceramide) all year round.

Absolutely no glycerin for me in the winter. I use any Herbal Essences leave in this time of year. They are glycerin free. I like Matrix Sleek Look cream for the summer.

Winter
Leave In: Kimmaytube's or Giovanni Direct
Moisturizer: Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Cream Moisturizer
Seal: Evoo or Avocado

Summer
Leave In/Moisturizer: Scurl
Seal: Evoo

I moisturize with Hydratherma daily moisturizing lotion and seal with JBCO. Now the crazy thing about this is that I could not get that dang Hydratherma to work for me at all during the rest of the year, but when I started M&S with it at night with the JBCO, OMG... I would wake up and my hair would be so soft and manageable. I keep it pretty toasty in my apartment so I need something to keep my hair moisturized.
