I just took my braids out and my new growth was killing me. It's a little under 2 inches and it was very hard for me to detangle last night. I put a little bit of jojoba oil on it and went to sleep. When I woke up my new growth was very soft and I could finally finger comb it into a decent ponytail. I plan on getting a perm in a few days and want to make sure if I keep oiling my new growth I won't have a problem. Will the jojoba oil prohibit my relaxer from taking?

No, it shouldn't. Most relaxers come with a petroleum based product to base/protect the scalp and it doesn't interfere with the chemical breakdown. You should be fine with that Jojoba oil on your hair.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not a hair person yet, so I did not have a clue :drunk:

It should be fine. It will be a nice barrier for your scalp when you do relax. A lot of people have been adding oil to their relaxers anyway so it should be fine. :yep:
