YA Know??? I mean...I've got the best products in the world for my hair. I swear I've found my Holy Grails in every category. But temptation is just too great sometimes. That's why I'm doing the PJ challenge. I'm just so sick of all these products everywhere. Hopefully this month, I can get rid of some of them. But I have a sneaking feeling I'll just be starting all over again

Hmm - I don't know. It's a problem when that one product that worked so well suddenly stops working and you can't figure out why.

There will always be new and sometimes better products being invented. Just look at the past decade or so. Many new changes. A few items stay the same. New products are being created based on our hair needs, hair fantasies and PJisms.

I'm so glad new products are always being created. I wouldn't feel comfortable going natural if products were still as they were 10 years ago.

I have never experienced Product Junkyism. I just get the urge to try something everyone raves about, but when I seriously think about it or when I go to the extreme of actually going to see the product, I make sure I look at the ingredients. If they are not different from anything elso, I put it right back down.

Just when I think I have my star products someone rave about another product and I am sucker and breakdown and buy it.

Well, in my opinion it is always good to try out new things every now and then.
These companies like to change formulas and discontinue things. If you keep a record of what works, you always have a backup.
In fact, I think I'm going to keep a list of products that worked and those that didn't along with ingredient lists.
I also need to start keeping a hair journal.

With hair products? When will the search end?

For product junkies who ENJOY the search, it won't end. New products will be released for them to try and rate, while old products will be discontinued or reformulated.

Personally, I'm kinda skipping and slowing down with the hair product love. I prefer comfortable routine to novelty. The efficacy of even a good product can depend on the skills and techniques of the person applying it.

This spring and summer I'm getting rollersets at the salon and only doing a little conditioner washing in between visits. I look forward to trying my own garlic treatments and relaxers, but otherwise I'm cheap and more than a little lazy.
