megon,
what is the tangle tamer? And how do u incorporate the coconut oil into your regimen? I ordered some with that $10 coupon from vitaminshoppe. Sounds like something I could use about right now!

The Tangle Tamer is a comb by Remington. The widely spaced teeth of the comb vibrate and assist in combing through tangles without ripping out hair. There's a thread with LHCF testimonials. It works great on my rollerset, dry hair. I haven't tried it on wet hair yet.

I got Garden of Life coconut oil from Whole Foods. It's extra virgin. There are many uses:
-I apply it to my rollerset hair before sleeping with a silky scarf over my hair. The oil penetrates and softens my hair overnight.
-Coconut oil gives great shine to fresh rollersets.
-LHCF members say that coconut oil on new growth has straightening/softening properties. I'm 4.5 weeks post relaxer and starting to notice the new growth. *crossing fingers*

I have to comb my hair BEFORE conditioner washes to prevent matting. I play to apply coconut oil overnight and to use the Tangle Tamer right before each wash.

well my actual hair color is like a med. brown, but i went to the salon to get the highlites..those are blondish
thnx silvergirl

LOL I'm getting frustrated, and I only began my new hair regimen last month! I just keep hearing and seeing people's progress, and I want to be there too! I guess I just have to keep imagining myself a year from now with past bra strap hair! My hair's gotten a lot stronger and healthier, but I want LENGTH!!!

I know what y'all mean about the frustration ... but patience is one skill we will all be experts at when we reach our goals ... and we WILL reach our goals!
