Will Any Moisturizer Do ???

Can you use any moisturizing conditioner with a heating or plastic cap? I'm tryin to do a deep moisturizing conditioner. I want to try this for a month ( 2x a week) to see if I can increase length and moisture during this winter. Has anyone tried this ???

A few people add oils and such to make the regular conditioner into a deep conditoner. But for my hair I cant leave instant conditoners such as Pantene, Dove, V05, on my hair no longer than five minutes or my hair will feel stiff and prickly after I rinse, no matter how moisturizing they claim to be. Even after I tried to mix it with olive oil.

It depends on your hair. Now the porducts that are meant to be deep conditoners or specify that you can leave it on for 15 minutes or more usually are the ones that work well when I do deep condition.

For me, only conditioners that use natural ingredients along with other stuff works. The only conditioners that I have found to be effective on my hair are:

*elucence moisture balancing conditioner, which can be used as a deep conditioner according to the label.
* qp elasta dpr-11 which is a deep conditioner

I am relaxed and deep condition with Humectress moisturizing conditioner 2x each week with a plastic cap for 30-45 minutes. Being relaxed, I've learned I need even more moisture than usual.

I prefer to use a deep conditioners versus my regular V05 conditioners. I use a Elasta DPR-11 or Lustersilk Cholesteral mixed with honey and deep condition for 25 mins. HTH

Yes, a regular moisturizing conditioner can be used as a deep conditioner if you apply heat. I deep condition with Humectress for 20 minutes under the hooded dryer.
