I was wondering if anyone of you wore your wigs while swimming/snorkeling, etc... and it held up good. I am not talking about it being sewn on but with combs securing it to your head. Be it curly or straight? No lacefronts.

Just curious.:look:

Ha ha yea. It actually looked better after swimming I put hair polisher on it and put it in the pony tail. It was sorta curly I guess. Its called carmen by model model glance. Oh yea lol you do have to be careful on fast water slides because it will come straight off. . . I know from experience.…

Bumping.

I wear wigs and plan on going swimming. I was going to just take it off but now I'm not sure if I have to.

I'd be toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo scared to wear it while I swim or on waterslides your brave girl. I couldn't imagine looking for my hair piece in the water. So DTWGirl what did you do did you get it and put it back on? I watched television and Tyra said hers fell in the toilet on the plane and she flushed it. LOL

:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: OMG I would be soooo done! I've never worn mine on or in any kind of water. Shoot I'm paranoid when a good wind comes up!

I am scared too!!! I was just going to take it off before going to the beach or the pool while I'm on vacation. (I mean in the hotel room before, not planning to whip off my wig poolside/beachside and jump in :giggle:)

I have synthetic LFs and Halfwigs. I didn't think synthetics could take the salt water or the chlorine. Can they?

And you know I holds it down when the wind blows I pretend I am holding my hair so it won't blow, U KNOW!

MsReyes I don't know how it stands up to the salt/chlorine water, I am just afraid of getting embarrassed with my bush floating in the pool or beach, I'd quick duck under the water release my wig cap and get up and let my
hair down! LOL

AND PROCEED TO POINT AND GO OH MY! HUH LITTER BUGS, scoop it up take it home and give it a good cleaning.

:lachen: i dunno how it would hold up because I avoided the beach like crazy while i was wiggin it for the summer! i did go on a boat though and I held that thing like a helmet:blush::lachen: i was so scurred that thing would fly off !!!

I would not swim in a wig.

I saw my friend with a BSL length wig in the sauna and the thing just kept creeping up higher and higher and bunching up into this weird mass. In the end the hair was a tangled mess on top of her head. :nono:

Was not worth it!

I have. in fact, i went snorkeling w/ socalli (former LHCF member) and her sis, and i didn't even think about the fact i was wearing a wig till that day, and they were like, OMG, what you gonna do? and i was like oh shoot. so, i said, ima just wear it.

here's the catch tho, when we finally get there, mind you, i'm still nervous bout whats gonna happen with this wig. but, fortunately, the mask that we had to wear with the face goggles and the rubber straps held my wig very nice and secure. but as for them, the rubber straps kept snagging their real hair. we all joked and said it prolly would have been best to wear a wig. lol

but when i go regular swimming or to the hot tub, i leave it on. i just swim above water instead of under water, and what ever gets wet, it just gets wet.

:lachen:The same thing happen to me this pass summer I went to the beach, I wasnt planning on getting in the water but I was enticed so I went in had a great time. Once I came out of that salt water my wig was completley poofy ( I was wearing a loose curl BALI GIRL wig).

I try to restyle it in the bathroom, but with no luck the salt water messed with the curls I had to throw that wig away.

The pool may be differnent but with chlorine: Maybe a bun would work well or a bob lenght wig shouldnt be a problem, the problem with mines wasnt securing the wig but the water itself......

Thanks for all this info ladies! I still think I probably won't take the chance on getting my wigs wet. I am way too cheap to have to replace a wig because of that (especially with shipping costs to Canada!)
