What is the best way to maintain a human hair wig when it tends to get dry by shampoo-ing alone. Should I be using a non-sulfate shampoo? I use conditioner and cold water but after one wash, the hair is so dry. Any suggestions
Try adding a little bit of oil to the conditioner and letting it sit for a while before rinsing and let it air dry. Since it's a human hair unit you may want to consider adding a leave in conditioner as well.
After 'steaming' the hair with a hot towel, I rinse the conditioner out of the hair well, trying not to leave any. I remove most of the water with a t shirt. With a very light hand, I smooth CHI silk infusion through the hair while it is damp and let it air dry.
