Why??

Ok there is this girl at work that is a different department then me but to get there you have to go past my area. Anyway, I normally where a long wig, a short one and a wrap I switch up like every week just to keep from getting board. Now the thing is she seems to have the same wigs as I do. And I know they didn't make just one but I wear Java Girl which is short and Cosmo Girl which is short also and the longer one that I wear I can't think of the name of. Anyway she wears the same type of wigs. The first two weeks I was here she wore her hair whick is ok. (needs oil). On the same days that I do sometimes. And the last couple of days I've been rocking a wrap over my baggy with a nice knot in the back. Tell me please why everytime this week I look up here she comes with a rag on her head? yes a rag. No style, no razzle-dazzle no nothing it looks like the one she sleeps in. First if you gonna rock it rock it right. When she wears the wigs I just want to snatch it off brush it out and then put it on her the right way. I KEEP the wig brush in the purse at all times. Even when I'm not wearing a wig. I know it's silly for me to worry about what someone else is doing but this has been getting on my nerves for awhile and I just had to let it out.

Girl, yes and what is so bad it's all hiked up and nappy in the back. Do something with that. Here have a claw clip pin that mess up. Geez.

Why not befriend her and gradually build up a conversation about hair and wigs.. then help a sista out! Just a suggestion.

Personally, this would never cause me any distress. Why; because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. She sees something beautiful and she wants to emulate it. Period end of story. Don't look at the situation like you and her are walking around with the same shoes, dress, and purse at the New Year’s Party. Instead see a woman who is impressed with the way you wear your hair

Is there an opportunity for you to befriend this woman? Have a conversation with her about how great her hair is, I mean you both are wearing the same wigs, right? Maybe she is wearing those awful scarves because she doesn’t know what else to do. We all find our hair deliverance at different times. When she looks good you look good. People probably already know where she is getting her hair ideas. Give her the site address, once she begins to change her hair habits people at work will attribute that to your new found working friendship. You might be the deliverance she needs.

I tryed to say hi to her once and she looked at me like I was crazy. I don't get it. I'm just going to keep doing what I've learned to do and she can do what she does. I really was just letting off some steam cause I actually find it kinda funny.

I agree w/ this even though frustration has not allowed me to think this through as thoroughly ( i've been close)...My situation has been mainly fashion which i WOULD NOT call my self an A-Lister in regards to wardrobe.But i work w/ what i have fairly well.Would do a lot better if funds were better.

But i work in the comm. college events office and the old bats i work with (xcuse me plz) are seriously hick town hood wearing HATERS!

Every ones attention has been directed at me and my style. And every one as something in there clothing stash that too closely resembles mine in the last three yrs. and all the ones who've come and gone have shown some type of evidence that i'm the topic of the two old bats discussions regularly.


But as she said k.i.m. ( b/c here i am and have been what some call the token ...HA that WON'T ADAPT and CONFORM..but i do show up to "WORK" and show out a bit too (despite there's comments thrown around about work NOT being a fashion show..big *sses in jeans..etc.)

SO EFFE all haters! But if she's worthy try what ^^she said b/c sounds like she may not b hating so much as she is IMITATING (be flattered sista)....


ETA: oh scratch the last part (just seen ur latest post) she might b a hater and impersonator...copycat arse*..lol
