I know this topic has been done to death but I just had to speak on Miss Jessies curly pudding. OMG!!!!!! I heart this product. We have a salon right here in Long Beach, CA that sells it so I ran out and bought it. Yep $38. Now all I need is a diffuser which I'm going to run out and get today. I was sleeping on this product and using fantasia gel. The gel made my hair dried out but this stuff is a dream. I think I'm in love.

My hair really liked the curly pudding too, but it's so expensive. I still have a full jar. I'm saving it for about 3-4 more inches.

It's good I use it off and on depending on my mood. I do like my results with fantasia better though.

If you don't mind my asking: How do you use it, and what does it do for your hair? TIA :)

Uh Where in Long Beach??? details details my friend??

I use it off and on too. It used to be my wonder product, but I noticed it had a tendency to make my hair feel kinda sticky and dry. I do like it, but now I use it more in moderation.

I actually like Kinky Curly a bit better. They sell it as Simply Wholesome in LA.

It's a salon called "Studio K" right off of PCH. If you go to the Jessies Salon website you can see it under "locations". Or obviously you can call 411...better yet let me get the #...ok 562-498-6372.

Girl, you and me both. I used to swear by Curly Pudding, but it gives me more shrinkage than Fantasia IC, and it feels about the same to the touch.

It smells horrible! That grape bubblegum smell gives me a headache.
It does preserve the wet look though.

is it just me or does anyone else notice that it leaves a residue behind after your hair dries..am I using too much? That's what I hate about using the product. I have the pudding and meringue. I'm considering purchasing the buttercreme. If anyone else notices residue once the hair dries please let me know!

The only thing it seemed to do for me was keep my hair moist and I have cheaper stuff to do that. That smell made me nauseated after a while.

I've only noticed the white residue when my hair is still wet with the product. After my hair is completely dried the residue goes away. I think you might be using too much of the pudding. I don't use anywhere near as much pudding as they recommend in their "shingling" method. My hair below was done with the pudding:)

I use to swsear by Ms Jessie's too...Then yal turned me on to Fantasia.
However, that make my hair a lil crunchy. I now use Curl Junkie and I really like it! I get great definition and very soft touch!

where do you get curl junkie from? I like the definition i get from the pudding but i can also do without the crunch! I put elucence as a leave in underneath and that helps alot but i wouldn't mind trying something else. Is the curl junkie cheaper than the pudding?

TIA, jasmine:)

Wow I jus started using Elucence leave in as a base product.

www.curljunkie.com

or go to curlmart at naturallycurly.com and use the ivillage code if still valid.

The curljunkie is $12 but is alot smaller. Buy the starter kit at naturally curly and see how you like. I really like the curls I get! Now I remember another member not having a positive experience...So I highly recommend the trial size!

thanks brownshugaz!

Thanks jamericangurl! I think i will order the trial size from nc.com and i recently used the ivillage code so it better still be valid! Which product do u use from that line? That guava curl cream sounds good but i don't know if i should get the one with protein? THANKS!!

It works on natural hair and it might work on texturized?
