Why some products just don\'t work

My sister in law and I were discussing my hair care history, and she was asking me if it is possible that my hair just doesnt respond to products as well as they could because of damage, split ends, etc. I recall a friend saying this last year after I had fried my hair and it was a pitiful mess..kinda like now

, said when my other friend was getting frustrated that all the tips she learned on the hair boards wouldnt work on my hair, that my hair is in " a state of trauma" and needs to recover...Ok, after that mindless babble..who thinks that the condition of the hair can effect a product's effectiveness?

Re: Why some products just don\'t work

I was so afraid of stripping my hair that my products did not give me the results everyone else was getting.

My routine is shampoo once a month. Daily use leave-in conditioner, almond, avacado, and coconut oil. Every other day conditioner wash. Once a week apply Olive Oil. Well

Last Saturday, I decided to shampoo twice. OMG...It did the trick. Now my products were working great. Now...I am starting to wonder how long will it take for all of my products to work ? I am unsure of the health of my hair. Now, I know for sure that I have to shampoo my hair twice on major wash day, to ensure that all product are able to get to the shaft of the hair.

If your hair is in trama... it will take time to see results. There are also other factors. Strength of product, how much is used, how often, correct use, combonation of products... We all have witnessed effectiveness of products on different hair types. When all is said and done...it all takes time...
