I'm having such a hard time finding the right moisturizer. Everything I try works for a little while then its like they don't work anymore. I'm starting to feel like I'm gambling, every time I buy a moisturizer I'm hoping I hit the jackpot! I do clarify my hair every so often and it helps for a little while then back to square one. Could I be having porosity issues? I did the strand test in a glass of water and it did not sink at all, my strand still looked dry sitting in water:perplexed :nono:

According to previous threads about porosity, you definately could be having a problem. You said that your hair does not sink at all, well that can be as bad as the hair sinking immediately b/c the cuticle is closed so tightly it's not allowing any moisture in. This could be what is wrong. If you haven't already, try doing a search for porosity issues to learn more about what your specific problem is and how to correct it. Also, I was always searching for the perfect moisturizer as well and nothing I used worked, it either weighed my hair down with mineral oil and petroleum, or made it frizzy and puffy with too much water or just left me with dryer hair than I started with, needless to say I was beyond frustrated. So one day I got my mixing bowls out and vowed to make my own moisturizer and this has completely saved my hair and sanity LOL. The main ingredient is 100% aloe vera straight from the plant. My hair just loves this stuff. It gives me weightless moisture without ruining the body and style in my hair. If I were you I would try experimenting with different products and additives to come up with a moisturizer that is custom made just for you. HTH :yep::yep::yep:
