I put it on my hair after I cond. and...nothing. I put it on dry hair and...
...nothing. What kind of products are you all using with the serum to cause such spectacular results? It gave me great shine, but I have a ton of oils that do that.
hmmm the first "whats so good about this stuff" report....im feelin you on the oils , i've always been able to make oils do what any serum does, when used lightly, it adds shine, seals and moisturizes. if i ran out of my IC serum, i know i could make do with using a oil lightly just the same
Im glad someone posted this. I bought the serum and i truly don't see the big deal at all. I only use it b/c I bought it and it smells good. It really serves no purpose for me. I have the Razac serum and I like that. Forget the shampoo, the only thing I like about it is the smell. I'll be giving it away.
The NTM serum doesn't do anything for my hair either. But then again, I've never had the best of luck with serums. I think it has something to do with my hair type being 4b and porous.

I agree--it does act more like an oil than a serum. I think that's why so many of us were WOWED by it because we were expecting a serum, but we got an oil instead
I bought the lotion and serum, used both of them and didn't like them. I used the lotion and serum on wet hair, and tried the serum again after my hair was dry the next day. I'm going to give them another try after I wash my hair tomorrow. Then if I still don't like them, they are going back to the store.
My hair doesn't like serums or other products with 'cones, but I bought it because I mistakenly thought I read a post here that said this serum didn't have 'cones in it and wasn't like other serums. Maybe I will like the products after my next wash but, if not, I won't regret giving them a try. This is the first time I've bought something recommended on the board, so it's just been fun jumping on the bandwagon and experimenting.
(GASP)!!!! Not like the serum?!!!
Goes to show how people's hair differ and so do their response to some products.
I usually don't like serums or oils but my hair really took to the NTM serum (as well as the rest of the lovely product line)! I definitely will be buying more!

I'm glad I experimented too, although I really didn't have six dollars to be wastin'
. I think I will just stick with my CHI oil though. It smells FABULOUS and it has silk protein in it

I loved it too..it made my hair shiny and it felt so light, not sticky. The whole line is amazing!!
I wasn't overly impressed with this serum or any other serum. My hair does not care for serums and most serums have my hair feeling like straw after a couple of hours. I do not get the shine or softness that others do when using a serum. Jojoba oil/coconut oil mixture works much better for me. I used it once (on dry hair) and it was nice, initially. I used it twice (on wet hair) and was about to push it into the back of my cabinet, when I decided to mix it with the NTM leave-in. Once I did that, my hair responded much differently. I leave all serums alone, except for NTM mixed with the leavein. Once I finish the bottle, I will not be buying anymore serums.

Girl, what's CHI oil?!?!

It's this oil by Farouk Systems that I love
The CHI stands for Cationic Hydration Interlink. The product is called Silk Infusion- silk reconstructuring. This is more like a serum than an oil. I put it on my hair when it is wet and it makes it incredibly soft but not weighed down. Did I mention it smells wonderful
.It has 'cones' in it as well as hydrolyzed silk to strengthen it. It ain't cheap though- about $40 for 12oz. I got this at the same time I got my CHI iron and have not regretted either purchase.
Here is what it says on the back of the bottle:
"CHI Infusion with Cationic Hydrating Interlink is a rich leave-in treatment enriched with pure silk along with wheat and soy proteins that will penetrate and help in strengthening the hair, while providing incredible softness, manageability and shine without build up."
I'm sorry if I got your PJism goin' at this time of night
