So, today I really needed to get my hair done but I couldn't get into the hairdresser. I decided to put a relaxer in myself

. It has only been 5 weeks but I have 3/4-1" of new growth plus my hair is short, so stretching isn't an option. I got some motions cond. relaxer (somthing like that) because they only had Elasta in the no-lye formula. I applied it but there was too much overlap since my hair is too short. I chickened out and washed out the relaxer after about 10 minutes. The front got straight but the roots in the back and middle are still curly, just looser.

I don't know why I do stuff like this! The last time I got a professional relaxer was to correct the underprocessed job I did before! I guess I will be getting it corrected AGAIN. I am such an idiot

Do you think the overlapped hair will be damaged even though I washed out the relaxer pretty quickly?

LOL

. Poor Neen. I know how you feel, but you should be okay. Just make sure to keep your regimen going and pay attention to any changes in your hair... then act accordingly (more protein if needed, less heat if necessary, etc.) Many here have over/underprocessed and overlapped and they still have hair.

I'm probably one of those girls! No, seriously, I think you'll be fine. I'm surprised I still have hair on my head with the many times back in the day I used to apply the relaxer from ROOTS to ENDS!!! I think I'm a semi-pro now!

Thanks for the replies. My hair has dried and I should be okay. It doesn't feel bad or anything. I think I have learned my lesson...I think.
