Why are you wearing that D__N ponytail???

That's what a co-worker had the nerve to say to me. I wore my hair down one day. This was after my last relaxer, I got so many compliments. This was the first time many people had seen my hair, because we have a lot of new people due to a company merge.

The next day I went right back to my fonytail. I wear that or braids. Now this lady was wearing a full blond wig.

How do people get the nerve to say the things they say???

What is WRONG with people? I have yet to have anyone say anything like that to me (God help the first person who does), but it seems like so many ladies here have had to deal with other people saying negative things about their hair. Why should anyone care what someone else does to their own hair?? I just don't get it. But like I said, if someone ever has the gall to say something mean or stupid to me about my hair...it will be the last thing they ever say!

I asked her, "Have you forgotten what's on your head? How do you have the nerve to ask me about my ponytail"? She told me that she couldn't wear her own hair because of all the bald spots.

I started to feel sorry for her and tried to give her some hair advice, but you could see the dis-interest on her face. She kinda nodded, so I asked her, "Don't you want to grow your hair?" she said "Yeah, but I don't have the time or the money to a lot of special stuff"

I just don't understand some people. She would rather be catty with me and wear ugly wigs than take time to pamper her hair and grow it.

you should direct her here. You can grow your hair out just fine with only a few, inexpensive products and a little TLC. It doesn't have to be as big a thing as a lot of us make it here...this is like a hobby for me. But if I just wanted to grow my hair out and wasn't into the "culture" surrounding it that we have going on here (

) I wouldn't end up spending a ton of money or time on it.

cardinal u crack me up!!but thats true ppl seem to not be bothered with growin their own hair, i had one girl ask me y deal with the 'hassle' of growin my hair long wen i can get it braided/weaved!!okaaaaaaay then
