Hi guys!
Just doing a little research and I stumbled upon honeyquat. Supposedly it has twice the moisturizing properties of vegetable glycerine! Does anyone use it? If so, can you tell me if you've found that to be true? How much do you use, etc, etc. Thanks in advance! :p

I add honeyquat to my moisturizing conditioner mixture and always use it after shampooing or after shampooing and doing a protein treatment. I also add a few drops to my big bottle of oil mixture of monoi, camellia and avocado oils along with a few drops of silk amino acids.

Me me me! I add it to my homemade red palm cream. I can tell the difference between mixes that don't have it and those that do.

Awesome! Thanks for the replies! So, for those of you that have used vegetable glycerine, is honeyquat significantly more moisturizing? Thanks in advance! :)

I tried using plain glycerine on my hair a couple times. It didn't like so can't really compare the two. Now that I think about it, I've never tried plain honeyquat. I always mix it in stuff. Hmmm, maybe I should give glycerine another chance.

My hair does not like glycerine. Adding the honeyquat to my conditioner helps with moisture retention and leaves my hair moisturized and soft. I too can tell the difference in my moisturing conditioner cocktail when I do not add the honeyquat.

Sareca: You posted a listing of your oils, butters, additives in another thread and I thought I had posted that. Our inventory is just about identical.

klb...: Made from natural honey, Honeyquat is an excellent humectant, binding environmental moisture to itself, thereby increasing the moist-urization of skin and hair. Moisture uptake studies show that Honeyquat has twice the moisturizing ability of glycerin. On hair, it leaves a clean, conditioned feeling, enhancing shine and luster due to its smoothing properties, especially on damaged hair. Honeyquat will help to improve wet-combability of the hair and reduce and eliminate static buildup. Clear to slightly hazy, pale straw colored liquid. Recommended usage is 2% to 5%.
