Has anyone experience an increase in hair growth rate with extra intake of alfalfa, chlorophyll, or super greenfoods suppliments?

I take an alfalfa that other users say helps their hair growth etc. I take it as a mineral supplement. I haven't really taken it consistently until recently but I like it alot...
beware.... I heard that some alfalfas cause weight gain.

How does this benefit the hair exactly. As for the weight gain, I wouldn't say no.
Which vegetables are alfalfa rich in?

Diamoness,

Warning: You might want to do some online searches about the debate about alfalfa in particular and its role in autoimmune diseases. Generally, if you have anyone in your family who has an autoimmune disorder, I would think twice about ingesting any . I can suggest Dr. Weil's site to you. He is an advocate against any ingestion and explains his position well.

You might want to consider broccoli sprouts as an alternative. They are extremely tasty and nutritious /images/graemlins/cool.gif

With the "other" green superfoods, I've relayed my great results with chlorella many times. It and eating seaweed produced 2" months for me. I've also tried spirulina and wheat grass. The spirulina left me extremely WIDE AWAKE and wired to say the least. The wheat grass is excellent for overall health. I did not use it while I was growing out my hair.

Chlorophyll supplements are usually derived from alfalfa or one of the others like spirulina or wheatgrass.

Cheers,

Jade

P.S. It is lovely to see a post from you /images/graemlins/grin.gif I think I have been absent or just haven't seen your posts recently.

Jade 21, is there a certain brand of chlorella you would reccommend? I would love to add this to my regime.

I'm glad to hear from you too, and you're right...I haven't been posting much. I've been concentrating on getting into grad school, but I'm still around! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Diamoness..

I wish you all the best with your grad school applications /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would highly recommend the Earthrise chlorella...it's wonderful and they do have organic alternatives...check out the combos at their site Earthrise These products can be purchased at The Vitamin Shoppe
You might also look at Willner Chemists and VitaminLife

I hope you've had a great weekend. It was bitterly cold here, but very nice /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers and All the Best,

Jade

I agree. I started taking mine a few days ago and already I feel a different. This is what my diet has been missing. I do not eat a lot of veggies but I am going to start. I just took my chlorella.

I use to eat the Alf. sprouts for the mineral value, made my hair very thick and healthy.
