I am on the healthy ends challenge and I am realizing that I cannot go long periods of time without trimming. My ends will look ragged quick. Who else has to trim on a regular basis AND have you been able to gain length doing this?

hey there sweetie,

I am not on a regular trim schedule per say but with self-relaxing for the first time April 24th and only getting a dusting I plan on getting a light dusting every 6-8 weeks b/c my ends get raggedy very quickly. Hopefully, it will only take a couple of light dustings and my ends will thrive and the length will follow.

I am in Boot Camp so am not on a regular trim regimen, but I do dust regularly. Yes, I have noticed growth, but my entire regimen has changed since joining LHCF so I am not sure if dusting is a major factor. I will say though, that regular trimming in the past seemed to contribute to the overall health of my hair, which in turn contributed to growth.

I'm just now getting back on regular trim schedules. Girl I had good progress when I did it, I just got wrapped up in the whole "I DONT NEEEEEEEED to TRIM" mentality and my ends after a while started looking a bit rugged. It got me to 3 inches above bsl in the past.... 2009 is my year for going back to what I know and tweaking bit by bit. I'm going to keep my fine hair in layers.:yep:

every time i relax which is every 12 weeks i try to dust 1/2 inch...and my ends look much better...this time i went 16 weeks without a dust...i just did yesterday:grin:

My last trim was January 24, I plan on trimming with my next relaxer in July. So I'm on a 6 month schedule. My ends are in excellent condition so I'll keep this up until I need to change.

I do.

Its easier for me and I lose less hair in the long run. Keeping the hemline of your hair even can help decrease breakage and maintain managebility. ShiShi, I already know you know trim doesn't equal cut :)

I am off my schedule and petrified of doing the next one. I may force myself to do one today. I had been search and destroying but that is so time consuming I did not keep up with it.
